You can add a shipping container to a load with status Open.
Shipping Containers (whinh4125m000)Use this session to view and maintain shipping containers. Note You can only view the projected shipping containers using Projected Shipping Containers from the Views menu. This field is enabled only if the Projected Shipments in use check box is selected in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session. Dimensions If you select a packaging item for the shipping container, LN defaults the dimensions of the packaging item to the Gross Weight field and the fields of the Dimensions group box. These values are multiplied by the number that you enter in the Quantity of Packaging Items field. To add or remove shipments from a container, select the container and on the appropriate menu, select Compose Shipping Container or Compose Shipping Structure. Note

Shipping Container A subdivision of a load that contains shipments. The packaging items defined for a container determines the type of container. Container Status The shipping container status. Allowed values Note The container status Projected is not applicable if the check box Projected Shipments in use is not selected in Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session. The value of the Status field is always derived. Packaging Item The packaging item for the shipping container. Packaging items identified as reusable items in the Packaging Items (whwmd4105s000) session are counted into and out of the warehouse per business partner in the Packaging Items by Business Partner (whwmd4107m000) session. Packaging Item The packaging item description. Quantity of Packaging Items The number of packaging items that constitute the container. Handling Unit The handling unit ID of the container. Fixed Weight If this check box is selected, you cannot change the values of the Gross Weight and the Net Weight field, nor will LN update these field if shipments are added to or removed from the container. Gross Weight The total weight of the shipping container. This includes the packaging item of the container and the total weights of the shipments contained in the container. Floor Space The floor space of the container. LN adjusts this value if the depth or the width is changed. Unit The unit used to express the floor space of the container. LN adjusts this value if the height, the depth, or the width is changed. Unit The unit used to express the volume of the container. This value is defaulted from the Derived Volume Unit defined in the Unit Dimensional Relationships (tcmcs1101m000) session. Shipping Container Reference A free text reference to the container. Carrier Tracking Number The number provided by the carrier to identify the shipping container. The carrier uses this number to track the shipping container. Shipping Manifest Printed If this check box is selected, the shipping manifest is printed for the shipments of the container. Empty Shipping Container If this check box is selected, the shipping container contains no shipments. Text If this check box is selected, a text about the shipping container is present. Order Origin The origin of the warehousing order for which the current shipping container is created. Order The warehousing order for which the current shipping container is created. Print Shipping Containers Start the Print Shipping Containers (whinh4425m000) session. By default, LN starts this session to print the report. Compose Shipping Structure Start the graphical interface to adjust the shipping structure of the current shipping container. Renumber Renumber the shipping containers of the current load. For example, if shipping containers 001, 002, and 003 are present for the current load, shipping containers 001 and 003 are left after you delete 002. If you select this command, 003 becomes 002. The changed container number is also shown in the Warehousing Order Loads and Shipments (whinh4545m000) session. Show tree Start the handling unit tree structure. Generate Handling Unit Generates handling unit for the current shipping container. Remove Removes the handling unit of the current shipping container. Freeze Freezes the shipments of the current container. For more information, refer to Shipment and load status. Confirm Confirms the shipments of the current container. This option is enabled only if Source Acceptance Required is cleared for one of the shipments and Source Accepted check box is selected. For more information, refer to Shipment and load status. Select Carrier/LSP Log Select Carrier/LSP All Shipping Containers View all shipping containers of the current shipping container. Open Shipping Containers View the shipping containers with status Open for the current shipping container. Frozen Shipping Containers View the shipping containers with status Frozen for the current shipping container. Calculate Calculate the gross weight based on the selected unit and the weights of the shipments and packaging items of the shipping container.
