Configuration and setup Import Master

Import Master is used for the ETL (extract, transform, and load) process to build the dimensions and cubes for the Program Cost Ledger. The procedure:

  1. Open the Import Master tool, as an administrator.
  2. Select the PCL_10_4_ImportMaster.imd file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\ImportMaster.
  3. Right-click and select 'Connect....' to specify the server, login details, and properties of the three data sources.
    • Infor10BIHelperSchema
    • RS_SOURCE
    • RS_DESTINATION
  4. As specified in step 4 and 5 of the Infor BI installation process:
    • Specify the SQL Server name
    • Specify the user name and password
    • Select the SQL Server database name which is created during the installation of BDS 10.3.7
    • Click OK
  5. Go to the PM OLAP database properties and specify the server and login details.
  6. Enter the username and password for the PM OLAP.
  7. Select the PM OLAP server name, as described in step 6 of the BI Installation section. The server name is displayed as <servername>/PCL_10_4_OlapDB.
  8. Expand the Jobs folder and select PCL Full Load from the Multidimensional Databases.
  9. Right-click the job and select Properties.
  10. Use the Runtime tab, on the Properties pane, to set the runtime schedule for the Job.
  11. Select the Error Handling tab on the Properties pane, and select the Ignore any error option from the Stop if list box.
  12. Specify the path where the log file must be saved in the LOG file option.
  13. Select Append Timestamp to the filename in the list.
  14. To schedule the job, start the Import Master Service Manager.
  15. Click Open and select the PCL_10_4_ImportMaster.imd file to schedule the job.
  16. Select the PCL10.4 Jobs and select Enable. This job is used to process the dimensions and cubes.
  17. Click Start.
Configuring help files

You must copy the ‘ipcl’ folder which contains the help files from the content build in the ‘\Model4\AdditionalFiles \WorkSpace’ folder to the ‘\Infor\BI\\Application Studio\WebServices\Help\en\help’’ folder, where the Application Studio is installed.
