Installation Process

A quick reference checklist:

• Install the software specified in “Verify System requirements” section.
• Create a Microsoft SQL Server database from the Base Data Source 10.3.7 as specified in the “Verify System requirements” section.
• Install the Infor Program Cost Ledger 10.4 BI Solution.
• Configuration in ION including ION Connect.
• Configuration in Business Vault.
• Configuration in Import Master.
• Configuration in Ming.Le.
• Publish BODs from LN.
• Process the PCL 10.4 Jobs.

The installation of the following software is mandatory:

• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher
• Infor ION BI 10.5.1 tools (see the Infor BI Installation Guide)
  • Infor BI Application Studio 10.5.1.069
  • Infor BI Dashboards 10.5.1.046
  • Infor BI OLAP Server 10.5.1.060
  • Infor BI Import Master 7.0.4.121
  • Cubeware Common Components 7.14

• The features and sub features must be selected.

  • Infor 11.1 ION including the connector
  • Infor Business Vault 11.1
  • Business Vault Base Data Store 10.3.7
    • Including the patch in KB 1550813. See the Infor Business Vault Installation Guide for the Platform and other Business Vault documentation in the "Documents" section of the Infor Xtreme Support portal at www.infor.com/inforxtreme.
  • Infor IIS Server.
  • Silverlight.
  • See the Infor BI Hardware Recommendations Guide for the hardware requirements.
  • Microsoft Patch KB2480118 .

If PCL 10.3 is already installed, the following components must be deleted:

• Delete the ProjectAnalytics and IEVMS_LN database from the SQL server
• Delete the ProjectAnalytics file from \Documents\Infor\BI\OLAP\Data\
• Delete the BI Project Manager Repository Registration from the Repository administration
• Delete the BI_ProjectManager or whatever name was given for web service from the IIS under Sites \Default web sites
• Delete all files from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\WorkSpace
• Delete all .xml files from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\ION_CONFIGURATION
• Delete the ProjectAnalytics.IMD file from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\ImportMaster

If you are re-installing the PCL 10.4, you must execute the following steps to delete the existing PCL 10.4 content:

• Delete PCL_10_Rep_DB database from the SQL server
• Delete the PCL_10_4_OLapdb file from \Documents\Infor\BI\OLAP\Data\
• Delete the PCL_10_4_Repository Repository Registration from the Repository administration
• Delete the BI Project Manager web service or other specified web service from the IIS in Sites\Default web sites
• Delete all the files from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\WorkSpace
• Delete all the .xml files from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\ION_CONFIGURATION
• Delete the PCL_10_4_ImportMaster.IMD file from Program Files (x86)\Infor\BI\ImportMaster

On the server that hosts Microsoft SQL Server, create the following databases:

• IEVMS_LN - This database stores the data coming from the ERP LN BODs through ION framework. Ensure that the value in the Collation name box on the Options Page is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. Accept all other default values.
• You must change the recovery model to SIMPLE (available in the Properties of database on the Options pane).
• You must ensure that the Microsoft SQL Server account is defined as the database owner (DBO) of the Microsoft SQL Server database.
