Request and Return Tools (titrp0215m000)

Use this session to manage tools.

 

Request / Return Tool

Select the transfer action for the tool.

Note

If you select Return, you can indicate on the second tab where you want to return the tool:

If you do not indicate to where a tool is transferred, the tool is transferred by default to the next requirement.

Order Type

Select the orders for which you request the tools.

Note

You can requests tools for production orders with these statuses:

  • Released
  • Active
  • To be Completed
  • Completed

You can requests tools for service orders with these statuses:

  • Released
  • Completed
  • Costed

Line

The line number for which the tool is issued.

Note

This field is only relevant for service orders and work orders.

Activity

One of a series of steps in a routing that are carried out successively to produce an item.

The following data is collected during a routing operation:

  • The task. For example, sawing.
  • The machine used to carry out the task (optional). For example, sawing machine.
  • The place where the task is carried out (work center). For example, woodwork.
  • The number of employees required to carry out the task.

This data is used to compute order lead times, to plan production orders and to calculate cost prices.

Tool

Select the tool type range to manage.

Tool Number
To Warehouse

If this check box is selected, tools are returned to the warehouse. If you want to use a tool again, you must enter a new request for the tool.

To WorkCenter

If this check box is selected, the tools are transferred to the work center indicated in the To WorkCenter field.

To WorkCenter

A specific production area consisting of one or more people and/or machines with identical capabilities, that can be considered as one unit for purposes of the capacity requirement planning and detailed scheduling.

To Order

If this check box is selected, tools are returned to an order.

Order Type

The order to which the tools are returned.

Order Number

The number of the order to which the tools are returned.

Operation/Oper. Step

If the next operation of the order also requires the tool used by previous operations of the order, the tool is transferred to this operation without considering the earliest request date and highest priority.

Line Number

The line number.

This field is only relevant for service orders and work orders.

Activity Line

The activity line.

This field is only relevant for refurbishing orders from Service.

Operation Step

The operation step for which the tool is planned.

This field is only applicable if the Order Type field in the current session is SFC Production Order.
