are not listed.
Project A collection of manufacturing and purchasing actions that are
performed especially for a particular customer order. A project is initiated by
a customer order for items having a To Order order policy. The purpose of a project is to plan and coordinate the production
of these items. For a standard-to-order production, the project is only
used to link the item with the customer order. Otherwise, a project can
include: - Customized item data (BOMs and routings)
- Project planning (activity planning)
A budget is a special type of project. A budget is used to
plan and estimate, not to carry out production. Note Projects of the Budget type
are not listed. Reference Displays the reference data of the project. For instance, the
number of a customer's sales order. You can search for project data using the
reference. Project Status Indicates the current progress of the project. Project Stage Indicates the current execution stage of the project. You can enter
project stages using the Project Stages (tipcs2110m000) session. Start Date The desired or planned start date for the project. This date is
used or calculated with the Generate Network Planning (tipcs4210m000) session. You can only enter a start date if: - The project is of
the type main or single.
- The Forward planning method is selected in the Project Details (tipcs2130m000) session.
Completion Date The desired or planned completion date for the project. This
date is used or calculated with the Generate Network Planning (tipcs4210m000) session. You can only enter a completion date if: - The project is of
the type main or single.

Search Key An alternative form of a description used for convenience
during searching. Typically, it is an abbreviation, an acronym, or a mnemonic
alternative to a full description. Project Type A way to characterize projects. A project can have one of these types: - Main Project: the project structure is composed of
subprojects
- Subproject: the project is a subproject to a main project
- Single Project: the project is a stand-alone project and
is not part of a main project/subproject structure
Project Employee The person who is in charge of the execution of the project. Sold-to Business Partner The business partner for whom
the project is carried out. Note Allows you to
quickly retrieve project data. Definitiv. Closed If this check box is selected, the project is
definitively closed and can no longer be reopened. Note The status becomes
definitively closed when the financial transactions that relate to the PCS
project are removed. Migrated from Baan IV If this check box is selected, t Text If this check box is selected, text is
present. In-Service If this check box is selected, customized items can be
handled after the project has been closed. Customized items that are in the
usage/service stage of their life cycles, can be moved in inventory. The
inventory movements are initiated in depot repair ( Maintenance Sales Control, Work Control System),
that is, customized items can be returned to the service company as owned
inventory, and at a later stage, issued again for depot repair. Note This check box is only available if both of the
following applies: - Project Package Link reads Project (PCS).
- The PCS project status is Closed.
Important! - Closed projects cannot be reopened if the In-Service check box is selected. To reopen a closed project, this check
box must be cleared.
- You can only clear this check box if no maintenance sales
order or work order exists for the item.
