Enter the source manufactured item. This is the item from which you want to copy the details.
Copy Bill of Material (tibom1216m000)Use this session to copy the bills of material for one manufactured item (the source) to another manufactured item (the target). The target item will then contain the same components as the source item. Source You can select the source item that you want to copy to a target item. If you only want to copy some of the BOM lines, you can select these lines by using the Position and Date fields. Target You can select the target item to which you want to copy the bill of material. The target item must already have been defined in the Items - Production (tiipd0101m000) session. Copy You can select whether you want to copy the exceptions, material-routing relationships, and BOM texts associated with the bill of material. If the source item is a standard main item, and the target item is a customized item or a configured item, and you select the Material-Routing Relationships check box to copy material-routing relationships, only the material-routing relationship for the default routing is copied because only the default routing is applicable for customized items. The material-routing relationship of the default routing is copied directly in the Operation field in the Bill of Material (tibom1110m000) session. Note If you have similar items that are made of mostly the same components, this session is useful. You can copy the bill of material from an item (the source) to another item (the target). After you copied the BOM, you can edit the target bill of material by using the following sessions:
