The code of the product variant.
Product Variant - Assembly Lines (tiapl3520m000)Use this session to view on which assembly lines a product variant is assembled. This session also displays whether the required assembly parts are already allocated in Assembly Control, and whether the assembly order on the specified assembly line is frozen. Note The same order on another assembly line cannot be frozen or only partly frozen.
Product Variant The code of the product variant. Assembly Line The code of the assembly line on which the generic item is assembled. Assembly Order The code of the assembly order for the production of the generic item. Item The item ID. The item must have the following characteristics:
These characteristics are defined in the Items - General (tcibd0501m000) session and the Items - Ordering (tcibd2500m000) session. Assembly Parts Allocated If this check box is selected, the assembly parts for this assembly order are allocated in Warehousing by Assembly Control. If the parts are already allocated, the assembly line and order are not considered in the calculation of the assembly part requirements, which is executed when you run the Calculate Assembly Part Requirements (tiapl2221m000) session. If you run that session, all assembly lines for which not all assembly parts are allocated are taken into account, and the parts concerned are allocated by Assembly Planning. The allocation of the assembly parts by Assembly Planning differs from the allocation by Assembly Control, because the allocation by Assembly Planning is less detailed and provides better performance for large volumes. Note
If all assembly parts for a product variant are allocated, in other words, if all the Assembly Parts Allocated check boxes in the current session are selected for a product variant, the Assembly Parts Allocated check box in the details of the Product Variants (tiapl3500m000) session is selected. Frozen If this check box is selected, all line station orders (LSOs) for the specified order, and on the specified assembly line are frozen. Note Each company has its own assembly order. However, if several assembly lines exist in the same company, one assembly order covers them all. In this case, the LSOs on one assembly line can be all frozen, while on another line they are not frozen, or only some are frozen.
