Bank Transactions (tfcmg2500m000)

Use this session to view the lines of the selected bank transaction. To view more line details, double click a line or select a line and, from the appropriate menu, select Bank Transactions.

To start this session, you must select transaction type Cash in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session.

The current session allows you to process these bank transactions:

  • Receipt Transaction
  • Payment Transaction
  • Unallocated Payment
  • Unallocated Receipt
  • Advance Payment
  • Advance Receipt
  • Journal
  • Receipt Reconciliation
  • Payment Reconciliation
Payment authorization

Only authorized users can make payments. In the Payment Authorizations (tfcmg1100m000) session, you can define the user's authorizations and maximum amounts for the various transactions.

You cannot create a payment for a purchase invoice to which a hold reason is linked. An assigned approver must remove the hold reason.

 

Document

The transaction type selected in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session. This transaction type must be a Cash transaction type.

Document

The unique identification of the document used for the transaction type's financial transactions.

Beginning Balance

The sum of the opening balance and the transactions entered until the specified time, with a specified batch and transaction type.

If you linked a currency to the transaction type, LN can calculate this amount.

Bank Currency

The currency used for the bank transactions.

Bank Account

A bank account of your company.

Closing Balance

The open payable amount for the invoice-to business partner.

Bank Relation

A bank account of your company. The bank relation definition includes details such as your bank account number, account type, the international bank account number, the bank's currency and whether other currencies are allowed, and whether the account is a blocked account.

Amount to be Reconciled

The amount that remains to be matched.

Balance

The sum of the opening balance and the transactions entered until the specified time, with a specified batch and transaction type.

If you link a currency to the transaction type, LN can calculate this amount.

Late Payment Surcharge

The late payment surcharge in the home currency.

Discount

The discount amount in the home currency.

Payment Difference

The payment difference in the home currency.

Factoring Commission

The factoring commission in the home currency.

The default factoring commission depends on the values entered for the Commission on Partial Payments in the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session. You can change the amount.

Line

The line number.

The combination of line number and document number identifies the transaction.

Company Number

The financial company in which to post the transactions. The current company appears by default.

If the transaction type is Journal, you can select a different company. If you select a different company, LN automatically creates an intercompany transaction.

Group Tax Code

The company name.

Discount Date

The discount date of the invoice.

Late Payment Surcharge Date

The date of the late-payment surcharge.

Document Date

The date on which you carried out the transaction at the bank.

Default value

The current date appears, by default.

Based on this date, LN calculates the default amount received/paid, from the Receipt Transaction or Payment Transaction specified in the Type of Transaction field.

Dimension Description

The description of a dimension type.

The description of the dimensions is provided in the Group Company Parameters (tfgld0101s000) session.

Type of Transaction

Select the transaction category for the data you maintain in this session.

Advance PaymentCategory

Bank Reference

If you use bank reference numbers, this is the bank reference number of the invoice.

Invoice Number

The transaction type of the invoice settled, fully or partially, by the bank transaction.

You can access this field if the value in the Document field is:

  • Receipt Transaction
  • Payment Transaction
Document

The document number of the invoice settled, fully or partially, by the bank transaction.

You can access this field if the value in the Document field is:

  • Receipt Transaction
  • Payment Transaction
Schedule

The payment schedule line number.

If you use receipts against shipments, this number indicates the shipment.

Pay-to/by Business Partner
Currency/Rate

The currency used for the bank transactions.

Rate

The currency exchange rate. This rate is defined in the Currency Rates (tcmcs0108m000) session.

The result of the selected rate.

Tax Country/Code

The tax country and tax code that apply to the transaction.

You can access this field:

  • If you select Advance Payment or Advance Receipt in the Document field.
  • If you select the Calculate Tax on Advance Payments/Receipts check box of the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session.

LN only calculates the tax amount if the transaction amount is not less than the amount specified in the Minimum Amount for Tax Calculation field in the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session.

Specify the country code for tax calculation. This country code must have been linked to the tax code in the Countries (tcmcs0110s000) session.

LN displays the country (for tax) linked to the discounts, late payment surcharges, and payment differences with respect to this partial payment in the Posting Data by Tax Code for Deductions (tfcmg0150m000) session.

Amount in Bank Currency

The payment amount, expressed in the currency defined in the Currency/Rate field.

Net/Gross

Either Net or Gross.

Amount in Invoice Currency

The payment amount, expressed in the currency defined in the Currency/Rate field.

The bank transaction currency.

Transfer Method

The way in which the transactions are transferred to the bank.

If the supplier pays the bank costs, you cannot change this field.

If a tax code is linked to the invoice, LN displays the tax amount calculated on the basis of the data defined for the specified tax code in the payment/receipt currency.

Remittance

The code used to identify the remittance advice.

Debit/Credit

Use this indicator to classify the amount as debit/credit. You can access this field if the transaction type is Journal.

Control Account

A register used to record financial transactions and to accumulate the values of the transactions for reporting and analysis. The ledger accounts classify the transactions into categories such as revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

Enter the Dimensions.

Invoice Date

The date on which the invoice is printed.

Due Date
Fiscal Period

The fiscal year and the fiscal period number of the bank transaction.

Fiscal periods are defined in the Periods (tfgld0105m000) session.

Reporting Period

The reporting year and the period number determine the reporting period of the bank transactions.

Reporting periods are defined in the Periods (tfgld0105m000) session.

Tax Period

The tax year and the period number determine the period used to post the tax reports for bank transactions.

Tax periods are defined in the Periods (tfgld0105m000) session.

Invoice/Schedule Balance
Sundry Cost in Home Currency

The sundry cost amount in the home currency.

Currency Difference

The currency difference amount.

Currency differences arise due to exchange rate fluctuations.

The currency used for the bank transactions.

Net Amount Payable to Business Partner

The net payable invoice amount.

Withholding Income Tax

Social Contribution Company Expense
Discount Amount

If the invoice is paid within an allowed discount period, LN deducts this amount from the total invoice amount.

You can access this field if the value in the Document field is

  • Receipt Transaction
  • Payment Transaction

LN gives the default discount amount, if the value in the LPS/Discount for Partial Payments field in the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session is

  • Fully
  • Proportionally

If the Block Discount Exceeding Tolerance check box is selected in the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session and the discount exceeds the discount tolerance amount defined in the Payment Terms (tcmcs0113s000) session, you cannot process bank transaction.

Late Payment Surcharge Amount

The late-payment surcharge amount.

Late payment surcharge is calculated using the percentage linked to the invoice in:

Payment Difference

The payment difference for the selected invoice.

You can access this field if the value in the Document field is:

  • Receipt Transaction
  • Payment Transaction

The payment difference amount and the percentage must both fall within the tolerances defined in t250he CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session or specifically for you in the Payment Authorizations (tfcmg1100m000) session.

Factoring Commission Amount

The factoring commission amount, expressed in the currency defined in the Currency/Rate field.

The default factoring commission depends on the values entered for the Commission on Partial Payments in the CMG Parameters (tfcmg0100s000) session. You can change the amount.

 

Transaction Entry

Starts the Transactions (tfgld1102m300) session.

Assign

Starts the Assign Unallocated/Advance Payments to Invoices (tfcmg2106s000) session.

You can use this command if the type of transaction is Unallocated Payment or Advance Payment.

Assign to Remittance Advice

Starts the Assign Remittance (tfcmg2250m000) session.

Remittance Advice Details

Starts the Remittance Advice (tfcmg2650m000) session.

Post to Invoicing

Transfers the transactions to Invoicing.

Reconciliation

Starts the Transactions (tfgld1102m300) session.

One-Time Business Partner Address

Starts the One-Time Business Partner's Address (tfcmg1508m000) session.

You can use this command if the business partner is a one-time (sundry) business partner.

If withholding income tax or withholding social contributions is registered for the invoice, use this command to display the amounts.

Unassigned Open Entries

Starts the Invoice-from Business Partner Open Entries (tfacp2520m000) session, which displays the available advance payments, unallocated payments, or credit notes for the business partner.
