| Matrix Definitions (tdpcg0110m000)Note - If you enter a matrix definition with the Matrix Priority field specified, LN automatically inserts a record in the Matrix Priorities (tdpcg0120m000) session. For this inserted record, the effective date is
empty.
- You can update the Matrix Priority in the current session and in the Matrix Priorities (tdpcg0120m000) session. If a matrix definition has only one linked
priority record, changes are synchronized between both sessions. If a matrix
definition has several linked priority records, the Matrix Level and Matrix Priority fields are empty and unavailable in
the current session.
- If you change the value of the Matrix Priority field to zero, the linked priority
record is removed from the Matrix Priorities (tdpcg0120m000) session. If you remove the priority record from the Matrix Priorities (tdpcg0120m000) session, the Matrix Priority field becomes zero in the current
session.
Matrix Type Defines the type of a matrix definition and is linked to a set
of matrix attributes. The following matrix types are available in Pricing: - Sales Price
- Sales Line Discount
- Sales Total Discount
- Purchase Price
- Purchase Line Discount
- Purchase Total Discount
- Transfer Price
- Line Promotions
- Order Promotions
- Client Freight Rate

Each type has its own a selection of attributes. For a matrix
type, the combination of a maximum of six attributes identifies the matrix
definition. Matrix Definition Defines the group of elements (matrix attributes) that a Pricing matrix uses to
determine a price, discount, promotion, or freight rate. Imagine you are a furniture vendor and you decide to
maintain your sales prices based on two elements: - The specific item you sell.
- The way to handle payments.
In this case, the matrix type is Sales Price, the matrix definition is Furni (this name is user-definable),
and the matrix attributes are Item and Payment Method. Combine by Price Group If this check box is selected, the Apply Cumulative Discounts option is available in the Recalculate Price and Discount (tdpcg0240s000) session. This option enables you to apply
cumulative discounts to calculate discounts based on all items that belong to
the same price group. Note This field is only applicable if the matrix type is Sales Line Discount or Purchase Line Discount. The Recalculate Price and Discount (tdpcg0240s000) session can be accessed using the Recalculate Price and Discounts from the Actions menu in
the Sales Price Calculations (tdpcg2100m000) session. Performance aspects The setting of this field could affect system performance and database growth. For more information, refer to Combine items for Pricing. Matrix Level The discount level for the matrix definition, as set in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session. Note - This field is only visible if the Multiple Discount Levels Implemented check box is
selected in the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session.
- This field is only applicable for discount
matrices.

promotion, or freight rate. The group of matrix attributes is identified by a
matrix definition and type.
In the Pricing matrix, you specify the values for the matrix
attributes. | |
