Transport Means Combination A combined means of transport that consists of various vehicle types and/or means of transport which jointly transport a load. If a transport means combination includes more than one means of transport, Freight can perform load building for more than one means of transport per load. Transport means combinations are also used in freight order clustering. A transport means combination shows the combined means of transport that is to transport the goods listed on a freight order cluster. General Transport Category The transport category of the transport means combination. The following transport categories are available:
If you select a transport means group in the Transport Means Group field, the transport capacity of the transport means combination must be identical to the transport category of the transport means group. Transport Type The transport type for the current transport means combination. If you select a transport type, the current transport means combination is only available for items with the same transport type. Note that you cannot change the transport type if the current transport means combination associated with the current transport type is used in:
Combination Code The combination code for the current transport means combination. If you select a combination code, the current transport means combination is only available for items with matching combination codes. If a combination code and a transport type is filled for the current transport means combination, the combination code of the transport means combination must be identical to the combination code of the transport type, if the transport type has a combination code. Note that you cannot change the combination code if the current transport means combination associated with the current combination code is used in:
Shipment Procedure The default shipment procedure for the current transport means combination. Calendar Code The identification code of the calendar of the transport means combination. Average Speed The average speed of the means of transport that constitute the current transport means combination. The average speed is used to calculate the time required for transportation between two addresses if the distance between them is known. The average speed is used in load building. Distances between addresses are maintained in the Distance Table by City (tccom4537m000) session and Distance Table by ZIP Code/Postal Code (tccom4538m000) session. The average speed is expressed in the default distance and time units set in the Freight Master Data Parameters (fmfmd0100m000) session. Average Speed The distance unit that is used to express the average speed. Average Speed The default time unit for hours. Load Planning If this check box is selected, freight orders for which the current transport means group is selected are available for load building. If this check box is cleared, freight orders for which the current transport means group is selected are available for freight order clustering. Text If this check box is selected, additional information about the transport means group is available.. Capacity Maximum Planning Percentage The percentage of the available loading capacity that can be utilized. The available loading capacity is the average loading capacity of the transport means groups of the means of transport and vehicle types that belong to the current transport means combination. You can change the default value of 100%. Capacity in Weight The capacity in weight expresses the aggregated weight capacity of the transport means groups of the means of transport and vehicle types that belong to the current transport means combination. Capacity in Weight The weight unit that expresses the capacity in weight. You can overwrite the Freight default weight unit. The Freight default measuring units are set in the Freight Master Data Parameters (fmfmd0100m000) session. Freight master-data parameters are mandatory. Capacity in Volume The capacity in volume expresses the aggregated volume capacity of the transport means groups of the means of transport and vehicle types that belong to the current transport means combination. Capacity in Volume The volume unit that expresses the capacity in volume. You can overwrite the default volume unit. The Freight default measuring units are set in the Freight Master Data Parameters (fmfmd0100m000) session. Freight master-data parameters are mandatory. Capacity in Floor Space The capacity in area expresses the aggregated area capacity of the transport means groups of the means of transport and vehicle types that belong to the current transport means combination. Capacity in Floor Space The area unit that expresses the capacity in surface area. You can overwrite the default area unit.
