Warehousing inspections

In Infor LN 10.4, the functionality for warehousing inspections is changed. An inspection is no longer processed and finalized after specifying and saving the inspection results.

After saving the inspection results, the status of the inspection is set to In Process. While the inspection is in process, the user can still change the inspection results. To process and finalize the inspection, various options are available.

For individual inspections, you can now scrap rejected items or send rejected items to quarantine for further examination. For this purpose, the quarantine functionality must be activated. The main difference between the new scrapping option and the destroy option is essentially financial: destroyed items belong to the approved inventory, for which the supplier must always be paid, and for scrapped items settlement depends on the context.

To reduce the number of warehousing inspections created for items comprising of stock point details, thus enhancing the integration with Quality, the Consolidate Stock Points in one Warehouse Inspection check box is added in the Inventory Handling Parameters (whinh0100m000) session.
