Pegged item configuration on sales quotations and sales orders

When configuring product variants, these configurations are supported: PCF configuration with PCS projects, or without PCS projects.

Another configuration is added: PCF configuration without PCS, but with Infor LN Project projects.

To enable this new configuration, specify the following item master data:

  • Items - General (tcibd0501m000)
    Set the Item Type to Generic and select the Inherit Project Peg and/or Mandatory Project Peg check boxes
  • Items - Ordering (tcibd2500m000)
    Set the Order Policy to To Order and clear the With PCS check box

As a result, in the Sales Quotation Lines (tdsls1501m000) and Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) sessions, you can specify and configure a generic item and also link a project peg to the sales quotation line or sales order line.

The resulting customized item has the following characteristics:

  • No PCS project is linked to the item
  • If a generic BOM or routing is available, the Item Type is Manufactured. Otherwise it is Purchased.
  • The Order Policy is to To Order.
  • The Inherit Project Peg and/or Mandatory Project Peg check boxes are selected.
