| Generate Order Planning (Item) (cprrp1220m000)Use this session to carry out an order-planning run for one
plan item to generate orders of the following order types: - Planned Production Order
- Planned Purchase Order
- Planned Distribution Order
Scenario The identification of an overall planning solution. Each scenario represents one overall planning solution, and
involves particular settings for the planning of items and resources. You can
use scenarios to analyze and compare various planning options and to find the
best planning solution. For example, you can vary demand forecasts or sourcing
strategies. One of the scenarios is the actual scenario, which
corresponds with the actual planning situation. You can only transfer planned
orders and production plans from the actual scenario to the execution level of LN. Options Generate Within Time Fence Use the Generate Within Time Fence check box to determine whether or not Enterprise Planning
generates planned orders within the time fence. More than the
setting of the Generate Within Time Fence check box in this session, the setting of the Use Time Fence check box in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session is determinant for generation of planned
orders within the time fence. Dependent on the previously mentioned check boxes,
three possible situations exist: - The Use Time Fence check box in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session is cleared: Enterprise Planning generates
planned orders within the time fence, regardless of the setting of the Generate Within Time Fence check box.
- The Use Time Fence check box in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session is selected, and the Generate Within Time Fence check box is cleared: Enterprise Planning only generates planned
orders outside the time fence.
- The Use Time Fence check box in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session, and the Generate Within Time Fence check box are both selected: Enterprise Planning generates
planned orders within the time fence.
Note If the current
check box is selected, you cannot select the Reset Net Change in Time Fence checkbox. If the current check box is selected, you can select
the Confirm within Time Fence check box. Reset Net Change in Time Fence If this check box is selected, LN sets the net-change dates of the selected plan item to zero after a net-change simulation. So,
net-change dates that lie in the time fence are also set to zero. Because of
this, the changes that lie in the time fence are not taken into account in the
next net-change RRP run. If this check box is cleared, net-change
dates that lie in the time fence are not set to zero. So, the changes in the
time fence can be considered in a later net-change RRP run that simulates in
the time fence. Note You can not select
the current check box if the Generate Within Time Fence check box is selected. Confirm within Time Fence If this check box is selected, all planned orders whose
planned finish dates fall in the time fence, get the Confirmed order status. Note If the Generate Within Time Fence check box is cleared, you cannot select the current check box. Remove Firm Planned Orders If this check box is selected, LN erases all previously generated planned
orders with the Firm Planned order status, before it
starts a new simulation procedure. Note LN always removes all previously
generated planned orders with Planned order status
before it starts a new simulation. Previously generated planned orders with Confirmed order status
are retained. Also Generate Item Master Plan If this check box is selected, LN also performs a master-plan simulation for
each plan item involved that has an item master plan. Online Update Item Master Plan If this check box is selected, LN also performs a master-plan simulation for
each plan item involved that has an item master plan. Run a Net Change Planning If this check box is selected, LN carries out a net-change simulation. In this case the
simulation of the item does not start before the first net-change date. If this check box is cleared, LN carries out a regenerative
simulation. Net-changes simulations are only used for the actual
scenario. For other scenarios, Enterprise Planning always performs a full
regeneration of the master plan or the order planning. Use Bottom-Up Item Selection If this check box is selected, Enterprise Planning
generates planned orders for the parent items (multi-level) of the specified plan item. These items are the parent items in the bill of material (BOM) and
the receiving items in the supplying relations structure. LN also includes derived
items and the items of the generic bill of material. LN completely mixes the
item structures, which means that of an item you select the parent item, of
that parent you select the derived item, the parent, the receiving items, the
generic items, and so on. Note The following restrictions apply: - The parent items
must have the specified plan level.
- LN does not include items that are
defined in Configurator.
- LN does not include project items that have a Standard-To-Order (STO) structure.
- The bottom-up functionality only selects the related
items of one single site, and stops as soon as it discovers a site change.
Use Top-Down Item Selection If this check box is selected, Enterprise Planning also
generates planned orders for the parent items (multi-level) of the specified plan item. These items are the parent items in the bill of material (BOM) and
the receiving items in the supplying relations structure. LN completely mixes the
item structures, which means that of an item you select the parent item, of
that parent you select the derived item, the parent, the receiving items, the
generic items, and so on. Enterprise Planning generates planned orders for: - The components of
the specified plan item (multi-level) in the item's bill of material.
- The supplying
items for which you have defined supplying relationships in
the Supplying Relationships (cprpd7130m000) session.
- LN also includes the derived-from items and the generic items in the selection.
- Top-down also works for project items that have a standard-to-order (STO) structure.
Note The following restrictions apply: - The component
items must have the specified plan level.
- The top-down
functionality only selects the related items of one site, and stops as soon as
it discovers a site change.
Allow Multiple Sources per Requirement If this check box is selected, LN can divide the quantity of a single
requirement over several sources of supply, according to the valid sourcing strategy. If this check box is cleared, LN always assigns the quantity of
a single requirement to one particular source. However, LN can still divide the
quantity involved over various suppliers if the source is purchase, or supplying relationships if
the source is distribution. Update Pegging Relations If this check box is selected, LN also calculates the
pegging relations. If this check box is cleared, LN deletes all existing
pegging relations. To view the pegging relations, start the Browse Order Pegging (cprrp0740m000) session. Note You can modfiy this check box only if the Update Pegging Relations during Order Planning field
in the Scenarios (cprpd4100m000) session is User Specified. For more information, refer to Update Pegging Relations during Order Planning. Signals Save Exception Messages If this check box is selected, Enterprise Planning
updates the exception messages in the Planner/Item Signals (cprao1125m000) session for the specified item. Print Exception Messages If this check box is selected, LN prints an overview of the generated exception messages in a report. You can also send the report to the display
browser for a quick overview of the planning problems. LN also stores the exception messages in the database. The exception messages in the report are less detailed than the exception messages that are stored in the database. Use the following sessions to
see these details: - Signal Overview - by Planner (cprao1120m000)
- Planner/Item Signals (cprao1125m000)
- Resource - Signals (cprao1130m000)
Planner The employee to whom LN assigns all generated exception messages. If this field is
empty, LN sends the
item-related exception messages to the planner that is linked to the
item in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. If no planner is linked to the item, LN stores the
item-related exception messages without mentioning a planner. LN also stores
non-item-related exception messages without mentioning a planner. | |
