Update Exception Messages (cprao1210m000)

Use this session to delete and regenerate exception messages for items and/or resources.

Carry out the following steps to update and regenerate exception messages:

  1. Specify a planner. If you leave the Planner ID field empty, LN only generates signals that are not directed to a specific planner.
  2. Specify a scenario
  3. Specify a plan level
  4. Select a range of exception message types
  5. Select a range of resources. (*)
  6. Select a range of channels. (*)
  7. Select a range of plan items. (*)

(*) Optional: if you do not select these ranges, no exception message of these types will be generated.

 

Scenario

The scenario for which LN must update the specified exception message.

Plan Level

The plan level for which LN must update the exception messages.

Message Type

Select the range of exception messages for which LN must run an update.

Resource

Select the range of resources for which LN must update the exception messages.

Channel

Specify the range of channels, if LN must update exception messages that relate to resources.

From Plan Item

Specify the range of plan items, if LN must update exception messages that are related to plan items.

Options
Delete Current Messages

If this check box is selected, The set of exception messages generated in the Update Exception Messages (cprao1210m000) session is deleted.

Note

The following exception messages will not be deleted unless Delete Accepted Signals is selected as well:

  • Reschedule Out
  • Reschedule In
  • Cancel Order

Both Delete Messages created by Planning and Delete Accepted Messages must be selected to clear all planning related exception messages.

Delete Messages created by Planning

If this check box is selected, the exception messages generated during the running of simulations in either the Generate Master Planning (cprmp1202m000) or the Generate Order Planning (cprrp1210m000) session are deleted from the existing set.

Note

The Delete Current Messages check box must be selected to select Delete Messages created by Planning.

The following exception messages will not be deleted unless Delete Accepted Signals is selected as well:

  • Reschedule Out
  • Reschedule In
  • Cancel Order
Delete Accepted Messages

If this check box is selected, exception messages accepted in the Exception Messages by Planner and Item (cprao1125m000) session are deleted from the existing set of exception messages.

Note

The Delete Current Messages check box must be selected to select Delete Messages created by Planning.

If you delete accepted exception messages, if they are generated again you will have to evaluate and accept the exception messages again the next time you plan or run a simulation.

Save Messages for Planner

The employee number of the planner whose set of exception messages LN must update.

Note

If you leave this field empty, the exception message that LN updates are not directed to a specific planner.

 

Update

Starts the simulation procedure.
