Employees Dashboard (bpmdm0101m100)

Use this session to view and maintain employee data.

You can carry out these tasks:

  • Create, view and maintain employee-related data as stored in LN, for example, data on employment, skills, etc.
  • Check, maintain and process hours and expenses as accounted for an employee.
How to use the Employees Dashboard (bpmdm0101m100)

If you select an employee in the Employees Dashboard (bpmdm0101m100) session, under Details, information about the employee is displayed.

The icons or check boxes under Employee Details indicate which data is available for the employee. If you click the button or hyperlink next to it, the session is started in which you can view, maintain, or create the employee data.

Double-clicking a line in the lower half of the screen will display the Employees Dashboard (bpmdm0101m100) details session, which includes these tabs:

  • General
  • People Data
  • Project Data
  • Service Data

 

Details
Address Code

The employee's personal address.

Note

You can define and modify address codes and their related data in the Addresses (tccom4530m000) session in Common.

Working Time Schedule

The working time schedule that is used for the employee's hours accounting.

Telephone

The employee's telephone number at the business address.

Home

The employee's telephone number at the home address.

Employment

The number of regular hours that an employee works per defined period.

Note

The time span depends on the period table code defined in the People Parameters (bpmdm0100m000) session.

The employment hours amount is used in these sessions:

  • Hours accounting sessions

    In these sessions you can maintain hours for the employee. If the employee's number of regular hours entered for a specific period exceeds the value in the Employment field, LN displays a warning message.

  • Global (Undo) Approve Hours and Expenses (bptmm1202m000)

    If the Hours Check (Regular Time) check box is selected, LN compares the hours for that period with the value entered in the Employment field. If the values do not match, LN generates an error report.

Employment

The unit in which employment is expressed.

E-mail

The employee's e-mail address.

Note

The e-mail address is used as part of the review processes in Object Data Management.

Overtime Present

If this check box is selected, overtime data exists for the selected employee and the selected year/period in the Hours and Expenses by Employee Overview (bptmm1100m000) session.

Year/Period
Year/Period

Depending on the Startup Period setting in the User Profiles (bpmdm0102m000) session, either the current year/period or the previous year/period.

Start Date

The project start date.

End Date

The project end date.

General
Employee

The employee's code.

Employee

The employee's name.

General
Search Key

The employee's search key.

Default value

The first 16 positions of the Name field.

Employment
Department

The employee's department. LN uses this information to calculate the department's capacity for planning.

Logon Code

The logon code assigned to the employee in the User Data (ttaad2500m000) session.

Labor Rate

The employee's labor rate which you can use to specify the sales rate and the cost rate of the employee's labor.

Time Unit

The time unit used for the labor rates.

Cost Component

The cost component assigned to the employee.

Calendar Code

The calendar that specifies the employee's availability.

Name
First Name

The employee's first name.

Middle Name

The employee's middle name.

Surname

The employee's last name.

Employed

If this check box is selected, the specified year/period is between the First Date of Employment and the Last Date of Employment.

Hours Check

If this check box is selected, LN checks whether entered hours conflict with the number of hours defined in the Employment field of the Employees - People (bpmdm0101m000) session.

People Data
People Data

If this check box is selected, the data you enter here is used by People.

General
Address Code

The employee's personal address.

Note

Gender

The employee's gender.

Note

You can use the Not Applicable setting if the employee's gender is unknown or not relevant, for example, in case of backflushing.

Civil Status

The employee's marital status.

Date of Birth

The employee's date of birth.

Fiscal Number

A social security number that is issued to persons who are employed. It is used by fiscal authorities for tracking the financial transactions of employees.

Telephone

The employee's telephone number at the business address.

Home

The employee's telephone number at the home address.

Fax

The employee's fax number.

E-mail

The employee's e-mail address.

Note

The e-mail address is used as part of the review processes in Object Data Management.

Employment

Internal

A person permanently employed by the organization.

External

A person who is not on the payroll of the organization. Yet, the external employee will be used for planning purposes. Additionally, the external employee's time spent can be entered.

First Date of Employment

Also known as hire date, the date on which the employee joins the organization.

Note
  • LN checks the value in this field when you enter hours in an hours accounting session.
  • You can only enter employee hours if the start date is later than the first date of employment.
Last Date of Employment

Also known as termination date, the date on which the employee leaves the organization.

Note

You can only enter employee hours if the date is before the last date of employment.

Text

If this check box is selected, a text is present.

Project Data
Project Data

If this check box is selected, the data you enter here is used by Project.

Details
Trade Group

A group of resources with common skills that can be used for a particular labor cost object. If you cannot yet make detailed assignments for employees, you can use trade groups for scheduling.

Hours by Day

The capacity of an employee per day influences the availability of an employee in an external scheduling package.

Options
Used in Schedule

If this check box is selected, the employee can be transferred to an external scheduling package.

Service Data
Service Data

If this check box is selected, the data you enter here is used by Service.

Employee Details
Service Area

The code of the service area that the service employee works in.

Planning Details
Supervisor

The code of the service employee's supervisor.

Note

Avoid looping: an employee cannot be the supervisor of his own supervisor.

Maximum Overtime per Day

The maximum number of extra hours (that is, outside normal hours) the service employee can work per day.

Note

Normal working hours are specified by the calendar code selected for the employee in the Employees - General (tccom0101m000) session.

Paging Information
Pager Enabled

If this check box is selected, the pager is enabled.

If this check box is cleared, the pager is inactive.

Assignment

The service engineer's current assignment.

The date and time when this information was last modified.
