Warehouse - Location - Item - Blocked Stock Points (whwmd6130m000)Use this session to block or unblock stockpoints stored at a location. You can unblock these stockpoints by storage unit and the reason for blocking. Note You can view the peg distribution details for the blocked stockpoints using the Blocked Stock Points Peg Distribution (whwmd6138m000) session. This session can be accessed using the Peg Distribution option from the References menu. To block a stockpoint
The blocked quantity cannot be more than the difference between the Inventory (Storage Unit) and the Process Blocked as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session. If you partially block a stockpoint that consists of serialized items for which the Serials in Inventory check box is selected in the Item - Warehousing (whwmd4100s000) session, you can specify the blocked serialized items in the Blocking by Stock Point Serials (whwmd6135m000) session. To start the Blocking by Stock Point Serials (whwmd6135m000) session, in the current session, select the appropriate line and, from the References menu, click Blocking by Stock Point Serials. To unblock a stockpoint, select and delete the appropriate line. Only the user who blocked the stockpoint can unblock the stockpoint again. If the blocked stockpoint is initiated by Quality and serial numbers are specified for which the storage inspection apply, you can view the blocked serial numbers in the Blocking by Stock Point Serials (whwmd6135m000) session. In this case, you cannot change the blocked serial numbers. Block by Quality If you create a storage inspection in Quality, LN automatically blocks the stockpoint or quantity to be inspected. As a result, a record is created in the current session for which the following applies:
Note
Note You can view the NCMR for a specific stock point using the Report button, only if the Non-Conforming Material Report Implemented check box is selected in the Quality Management Parameters (qmptc0100m000) session. You can view the blocked stock points for a specific warehouse/ location/ item combination. The following sort options are available: Non-Conforming Material Report, Warehouse, Location, Item, Lot, Inventory Date, Reason for Blocking and Sequence.
Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter
address data and data relating to its type. Location A distinct place in a warehouse where goods are stored. A warehouse can be divided into locations to manage the available space, and to locate the stored goods. Storage conditions and blocks can be applied to individual locations. Item In LN,
the raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be
purchased, stored, manufactured, sold, and so on. An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or exist in multiple product variants. You can also define nonphysical items, which are not held in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The following are examples of nonphysical items:
Lot A number of items produced and stored together that are
identified by a (lot) code. Lots identify goods. Inventory Date A date that is assigned to items when they are stored. You can
use inventory dates to retrieve items based on FIFO (First In First Out) or
LIFO (Last In First Out), without carrying out extensive lot control. The meaning of the inventory date is connected to the outbound priority of LIFO, FIFO, or the product expiry date of the item. With outbound priority LIFO or FIFO, the default for the inventory date is the system date; however, you can overwrite this so that the inventory date does not have to be equal to the storage date. If the item has a particular shelf life, the inventory date is the product expiry date defined for the item. Reason for Blocking The reason of the blocking. This reason can be linked to a
blocking of a zone, location, lot, stockpoint, or serialized item. Non-Conforming Material Report The non-conforming material report (NCMR) number. Description The description related to the non-conforming material
report. User The logon code of the employee who activates a blocking. Only
the user who activates a block can remove it. Sequence The sequence number that identifies each block if more than one
block applies for the stockpoint. Blocking Fully Blocked If this check box is selected, the entire stockpoint is
blocked. If this check box is cleared, the stockpoint is partially blocked. If the stockpoint is partially blocked, the Blocked Quantity (Storage Units) fields must be specified. You can also specify the package definition of the stockpoint for which the block applies. The blocked quantity is less than or equal to the difference between the Inventory (Storage Unit) and the Process Blocked as specified in the Item - Inventory Structure (whinr1550m000) session. Package Definition The package definition of the stockpoint for which the block
