Inventory by Warehouse, Item and Effectivity Unit (whwmd2516m000)

Use this session to view the effectivity units inventory for each warehouse/item combination.

Warehouse
A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter address data and data relating to its type.
Unit
The inventory unit in which the effectivity units' quantities are expressed.
Item
In LN, the raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, sold, and so on.

An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or exist in multiple product variants.

You can also define nonphysical items, which are not held in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The following are examples of nonphysical items:

  • Cost items (for example, electricity)
  • Service items
  • Subcontracting services
  • List items (menus/options)
Effectivity Unit
A reference number, for example a sales order line or a project deliverable line, that is used to model deviations for a unit effective item.
On Hand
The physical quantity of goods in one or more warehouses (including the inventory on hold).

When items are received or issued, LN updates the inventory on hand.

Note

LN automatically updates the overall inventory on hand for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall inventory on hand is displayed in the Item Inventory (tcibd1500s100) session.

Blocked
A quantity of goods that is blocked. On-hold inventory can arise when the location, the lot, the zone, or the stockpoint is blocked. You can block inventory for various reasons, for example, for inspection or cycle-counting.

If a location has been blocked for all transactions, the blocked quantity is equal to the inventory on hand. You cannot partially block the inventory at a location.

Note

LN automatically updates the overall inventory on hold for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall inventory on hold is displayed in the Item Inventory (tcibd1500s100) session.

On Order
The planned receipts. The inventory has been received and the inbound advice is generated. However, the advice is not yet released. This quantity is included in the economic stock.
Note

LN automatically updates the overall inventory on order for each item throughout all warehouses. The overall inventory on order is displayed in the Item Inventory (tcibd1500s100) session.

Allocated
Inventory stored in specific warehouses or warehouse locations that is allocated to outbound order lines for which outbound advice is created that is not yet shipped. Also referred to as firm allocation or hard allocation. After the inventory is shipped, that is, has left the warehouse, the allocation is deleted.

The allocated inventory is updated by outbound order lines of the following origins:

  • Sales
  • Maintenance sales
  • Maintenance work
  • SFC Production
  • ASC Production
  • Sservice
  • Transfer
  • Project
Blocked for Planning
The quantity excluded from planning. The items exist but are unavailable for planning.
Location Allocated
The quantity allocated at the location level is the quantity that is advised for outbound.

If outbound advice is generated, this quantity is increased. When the outbound advice is released, this quantity is decreased with the shipped quantity.
