WMS Interface Parameters (whwmd2105m000)Use this session to set parameters for SSA Warehouse Management 4000 or for another WMS.
Item Specifications Warehouse A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter
address data and data relating to its type. Effective Date The date and time that the parameters are valid. The
parameters are valid up to the effective date of a more recent parameter
setting. Description The description of the parameter set. Warehouse Management System Sets default values for the WMS parameters. Select from:
Lot Functionality Supported by WMS Lots Not in Inventory If this check box is selected, the WMS can register lots not in
inventory. Lot Selection Specific If this check box is selected, the WMS can receive or ship one specific
lot for an order line. Lot Selection Same If this check box is selected, the WMS can receive or ship exactly 1
lot per order line. Serial Functionality Supported by WMS Serials in Inventory If this check box is selected, the WMS supports serialized items in
inventory. Serials Not in Inventory If this check box is selected, the WMS can register serialized items
not in inventory. Inventory Functionality Supported by WMS Handling Units If this check box is selected, the WMS supports the handling unit
concept as defined in LN. If this check box is cleared, no handling units can be created or generated for a WMS-controlled warehouse within LN. Inventory Commitment If this check box is selected, the WMS supports inventory commitment. If this check box is cleared, this does not necessarily mean that inventory commitments are not allowed in LN. Whether inventory commitments are allowed, depends on the Generate Outbound Advice in SSA ERP LN parameter setting. Inventory Buffers If this check box is selected, the WMS supports inventory buffers. If this check box is cleared, this does not necessarily mean that inventory buffers are not allowed in LN. Whether inventory buffers are allowed, depends on the Generate Outbound Advice in SSA ERP LN.parameter setting. Rejected Inventory If this check box is selected, the WMS supports the rejected inventory
concept as defined in LN. Item Functionality Supported by WMS Effectivity Units If this check box is selected, the WMS supports effectivity units. If this check box is cleared, effectivity units are not allowed on orders for WMS-controlled warehouses. Non-physical Items If this check box is selected, the WMS can handle non-physical
items. Inbound BOM/List Items Indicates whether the WMS supports inventory handling by
component for inbound. This means that components of a bill of material (BOM) or list item are received in a balanced way. If this check box is cleared, inventory handling by component is not allowed on inbound order lines. If this check box is selected, no inspections for these types of receipts can be performed. Outbound BOM/List Items If this check box is selected, WMS supports inventory handling by
component for outbound. This means that components of a bill of material (BOM) or list item are shipped in a balanced way. If this check box is cleared, inventory handling by component is not allowed on outbound order lines. Manufacturer Part Numbers If this check box is selected, the WMS supports manufacturer part
numbers. Order Specifications Cycle Counting Order Creation Allowed in LN Determines for which warehouses cycle counting can be
generated in the session. If this check box is selected, a cycle counting order can be created for any WMS warehouse that is within the range of warehouses for which cycle counting orders must be generated. If this check box is cleared, you cannot manually create and process cycle counting orders for WMS-controlled warehouses. Order Approval Allowed in LN Indicates whether cycle counting results can be approved in LN before
processing. If this check box is selected, counting results can always be approved in LN, even if the cycle counting order was created by the WMS. If this check box is cleared, cycle counting results can only be approved by the WMS. However, cycle count orders created during the reconciliation process, must be approved in LN. Block Inventory During Warehouse Cycle Counting If this check box is selected, the WMS supports inventory blocking when LN creates cycle
counting orders. Shipping Constraint Usage Supported by WMS Ship Line Complete If this check box is selected, the WMS can force shipping complete
order lines. Ship Set Complete If this check box is selected, the WMS can force shipping complete sets
of order lines. Ship Order Complete If this check box is selected, the WMS can force shipping complete
orders. Unit is Binding If this check box is selected, LN can force the WMS
to ship specific units. Reconciliation Reason Indicates the reason that must be used for registering
reconciliation results in LN. The reason code, which must be of type Cycle Counting, is shown in the Cycle Counting Order Lines (whinh5101m000) session. Order Creation Allowed in LN Determines whether reconciliation orders can be
generated. If this check box is selected, the Reconciliation check box in the Generate Cycle Counting Orders (whinh5200m000) session will be available. If this check box is cleared, WMS-controlled warehouses are skipped. Order Type Functionality Supported by WMS Collect Orders If this check box is selected, the WMS can handle collect orders. Cross-docking If this check box is selected, the WMS supports the cross-docking concept as defined in LN. If this check box is cleared, no cross-dock orders can be created or generated for a WMS-controlled warehouse within LN. WMS Process WMS Process WMS Supports Same Item on Multiple Inbound Order Lines If this check box is selected, the WMS can handle multiple inbound
lines for the same item within one advance shipment notice. Note SSA Warehouse Management 4000 cannot handle multiple inbound lines for the same item within one ASN. This means that during receiving in WM 4000 using RF, only the first line containing the specified item is updated. Other lines containing the same item are ignored. This results in an overdelivery for the first line and back orders for the other lines. Receipts Creation Allowed in LN If this check box is selected, receipts can be created in LN for WMS-related
order lines that are sent to the WMS. If this check box is cleared, you cannot link order lines to a receipt for a WMS-controlled warehouse. However, if order lines contain non-physical items and the Non-physical Items check box is cleared also, you can still link these specific order lines to a receipt for a WMS-controlled warehouse. WMS Supports Minimum Tolerance when Receiving If this check box is selected, the WMS can handle minimum tolerance
constraints during receiving. Note SSA Warehouse Management 4000 cannot handle minimum tolerance constraints during receiving.. As a result, final receipt can only be set in LN automatically if the received quantity is greater than or equal to the ordered quantity. Generate Outbound Advice in LN If this check box is selected, LN generates and sends outbound advice to the WMS instead of just
sending outbound order lines. Integrations Supported by WMS Freight Management If this check box is selected, the WMS can work together with LN Freight. If this check box is cleared, no freight orders can be created for order lines related to a WMS-controlled warehouse. However, one exception exists: If Generate Outbound Advice in SSA ERP LN is selected, freight orders can still be created in LN, because this allows Freight to do a load planning before orders are sent to the WMS. In this case, the orders that are sent to the WMS are in line with Freight, without requiring a direct interface between the WMS and Freight. Quality Management If this check box is selected, the WMS can work together with LN Quality. Reasons Receipt Correction Indicates the reason that must be used for the creation of
adjustment orders due to receipt corrections. Inspection Change Indicates the reason that must be used for the creation of
adjustment orders due to rejections for inspections that could not created
anymore in LN. This can apply to, for example, receipts for production orders that do not require inspections in LN, but are inspected in WM 4000 instead.
