Manual blocking of pegsTo introduce a new level of blocking quantities, LN generates blockings on peg level when the item is Project Pegged. Whenever the user enters a manual block, LN records blocked inventory on the project peg level. LN follows this sequence to determine the pegs that are to be blocked:
LN also allows you to adjust the pegs manually. In case the user leaves the session (for example, the Blocked Stock Points Peg Distribution (whwmd6138m000) session) during the process of this manual adjustment, LN checks if the total blocked quantity of the pegs is equal to the blocked quantity on the higher level (Zone/Location, Lot and Handling Unit, Stock Point level). If the blocked quantities do not match, a message is displayed asking the user to update the stock point blocked quantity (the user can adjust the blocked quantity on the Stock Point level whereas at the Zone/Location, Lot and Handling Unit level, the blocked quantity is fixed). If the user decides not to update this quantity, LN does not allow you to close the session, the user has to adjust the quantities on peg level. LN also allows you to block the project inventory that is located in a project warehouse. The user must manually assign the blocked stock to pegs. Consequentially, the user can enter blocked quantities only within the peg distribution. The blocked quantity cannot be entered at the header level. Based on the reason type, the blocked quantity is also adjusted in the Project Pegged Inventory (whwmd2560m000) session. LN allows you to block quantities for multiple reasons and by multiple users. The maximum of manual blocked and the process blocked quantities are displayed in the Project Pegged Inventory (whwmd2560m000) session. For example, a user blocks a peg for quantity 3 and another user blocks the same peg for quantity 4. The quantity 4 is displayed as the quantity blocked, for the peg.
