Shipment Notice Line Packing Structure (whinh3117m000)Use this session to maintain the item load structure. This structure gives an overview of how the item is shipped. For example:
Ship-from Business Partner The business partner that ships the ordered goods to your
organization. This usually represents a supplier's distribution center or
warehouse. The definition includes the default warehouse at which you want to
receive the goods and if you want to inspect the goods, the carrier that takes
care of the transport, and the related buy-from business partner. Description The description or name of the code. Shipment The advance shipment notice's number. Shipment Sequence The sequence number of the advance shipment notice line. Status The advance shipment notice's status. Sequence The sequence number of the ASN load structure line. Handling Unit Auxiliary Packaging If this check box is selected, the packaging item is used for auxiliary
packaging. Note Auxiliary packaging is a part of the auxiliary shipping material that protects the commercial items or to stabilize the complete container. This field is not applicable if Package Definition is filled. External Handling Unit The handling unit number provided by the ship-from business partner used to define the
hierarchical packaging structure of the advance shipment notice. Note This field is not applicable if Package Definition is filled. This is mandatory field if Auxiliary Packaging check box is selected. This field is not valid if the code already exists on another line and Auxiliary Packaging check box is cleared. External Packaging Item The code of the external packaging item provided by the ship-from business partner. Note This field is not applicable if Package Definition is filled. Packaging Item The code of the packaging item. Description The description or name of the code. Packaging Item Quantity The quantity of the packaging item used for the current node. Example, the parent node
has 1 packaging item defined as Pallet, and the child node
has 4 packaging items defined as Box. Reference A reference for a single handling unit. For Example, Kanban ID or Registration Authorization Number
(RAN). Packing Structure Parent External Handling Unit The parent handling unit number provided by the ship-from business partner used to define the
hierarchical packaging structure of the advance shipment notice. Note This field is not applicable if Package Definition is filled. This field is not applicable if External Handling Unit is empty or Auxiliary Packaging check box is selected. Children Present If this check box is selected, the handling unit is used as a parent level handling unit. Note For bottom level handling units, this check box is cleared. This field is not applicable if Auxiliary Packaging check box is selected. Item Identification Item The item defined in the advance shipment notice line. Effectivity Unit The code of the effectivity unit of the item. Note This field is not applicable and is invisible if unit effectivity is not implemented as software component. This field is not applicable if the item is not lot controlled. This field is not applicable if warehouse is wms controlled and unit effectivity is not allowed in the WMS warehouse for the order date. Description The description or name of the code. Serial Number The serial number registered on the item. Note This field is enabled only if Serialized Items in Use check box is selected in the Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session. This field is not applicable if the item is not serialized. This field is not valid if the item is not registered as serial in inventory and the serial does not have the Status as Initial. Lot The lot to
which the item belongs. Note This field is enabled only if Lot Control in Use check box is selected in the Master Data Parameters (whwmd0100s000) session. This field is not applicable if the item is not lot controlled. Quantities Shipped Quantity in Storage Unit The shipped quantity expressed in the storage unit. In a shipment an item can be transported in several different
kinds of shipped units. In this field the number of shipped units of a single
type is given. Note The value of this field is derived (and zero) if the Auxiliary Packaging check box is selected. The value of this field is derived (and zero) if the Children Present check box is selected. It is mandatory to define the content of a handling unit at the lowest level of the structure. Consequentially, this field is mandatory if:
Unit The unit of packaging for this line (for example, pallet or
box.) Shipped Quantity in Inventory Unit The shipped quantity expressed in the inventory unit. Note The value of this field is derived and is calculated from the Shipped Quantity in Storage Unit. Unit The inventory unit.
Handling Unit Tree Displays the handling unit tree structure for the selected
shipment line. Generate Handling Unit Generates the handling unit for the selected shipment
line. Remove Handling Unit Removes the handling unit for the selected shipment
line.
