Text Windows (tttxt1120s000)Use this session to create text windows that can be used to maintain and display text in LN. Note If you use the multiline editor as the external editor, only the number of columns and number of rows are relevant. In that case, the frame and color are default defined. However, you must make a selection in all fields because you can also use other editors for the text group. You can use the First Column and First Row fields to specify the position of the text window on the screen. The size of the text window is defined by the number of columns and number of rows. The number of columns in the text window indicates the maximum number of characters on a text line. If you do not select a frame for the text window, the maximum number of columns in a text window is 215. If you have defined a frame for the text window, the maximum number of columns is 213. The minimum number of columns is ten. In the BAAN editor, the maximum number of lines in a window is 64 and is determined from the first text row, excluding the frame. In the multiline editor the maximum number of lines is default defined. The bottom line is reserved for messages.
Window Type The code of the window type. The window type determines the
size, position, box or frame type, box color, and shape of the window in which LN displays the text
at run time. Box Type The type of frame around the text window. The frame is only
displayed when the text is edited via the BAAN editor. The following options are available:
First Column For the BAAN editor, the text window’s horizontal position: the
column where the top left corner of the text window, excluding the box, must be
positioned on the screen. If no box is selected, the first left-hand column of the screen is defined as column number one. First Row For the BAAN editor, the text window’s vertical position: the
row where the text window’s top left-hand, excluding the box, must be
positioned on the screen. If no box is selected, the first line on the screen is line number two. Otherwise the first line is line number three. Number of Columns The width of the text window: the number of columns from the
first left-hand column onwards. This field indicates the maximum number of characters on a text line in the text window. If no box is selected, the maximum number of columns in a text window is 215. The minimum number of columns is ten. The maximum number of columns in a box is 213. Example If a line box is selected and the first column is number five, the maximum number of columns you can define is 210. If you exceed this maximum, LN will reset the number of columns to 210. Number of Rows The height of the text window, excluding the box. The maximum
number of lines in a window is 64. The bottom line is reserved for messages. The maximum number of lines in a window is determined from the first text row, excluding the box. Box Colour For the BAAN editor, the color of the frame around the text
window. Form Colour For the BAAN editor, the color of the window background.
