Export Language Dependent Data to XML - Wizard (ttadv8910m000)Use this wizard to export language-dependent components to XML for translation. Tools language dependent components include labels, messages, questions, and the system-overhead. After the translation of the XML file you generate with the export process, you can import the translated XML file into Tools by means of the Import Language-Dependent Data from XML - Wizard (ttadv8920m000) session. Note The system overhead is located in Tools package and contains the language-dependent strings for standard commands, command groups, control command groups, status line texts, tools texts, pull-down commands, menu groups, menu items, and tool tips.
Source Language The code of the source language whose language dependent
components you want to export. Choose to read components from file or select them yourself . If you select:
File Location The file from which you export the language-dependent
components to XML. You can only maintain this field if you selected Yes in the Read Components from File box. You can create the file by writing a report generated from either of the following sessions:
Select list or range of packages If you select:

Choose to select components within selected package(s) If you select: Yes, on the next form you can select the components whose language dependent parts you want to export to XML. No, I want to export all components, all components in your selected range of packages have their language dependent parts exported to XML. The component selection form does not appear. Labels If this check box is selected, you can define a range
of labels by label code, and/or by context to export to XML. If this check box is cleared, no labels are exported to XML. Code The start value in the Labels Code range. Only Labels whose code falls

whose code falls in the range you specify can be exported to XML. Note You can only maintain this field if you select the Messages check box. Export expired components If this check box is selected, expired
language-dependent components are exported to XML. If this check box is selected, expired language-dependent components are not exported to XML. Choose to select system overhead Select:
Standard Commands If this check box is selected, you can select a range
of language-dependent standard commands to be exported to XML. If this check box is cleared, no standard commands are exported to XML. Standard Commands The start value in the range of standard commands whose
language dependent parts you want to export to XML. Allowed values: Standard Commands The end value in the range of standard commands whose language
dependent parts you want to export to XML. Allowed values: Other System Overhead If this check box is selected, all other
language-dependent system overhead components are exported to XML. If this check box is cleared, none of the other language dependent system overhead components are exported to XML. Note If you select the Pulldown Commands check box, you can define the range of pulldown commands exported to XML in the check box's adjacent fields. Pulldown Commands If this check box is selected, you can define the range
of pulldown commands whose language dependent parts are exported to XML. If this check box is cleared, no pulldown command's language dependent parts are exported to XML. Note You can only select this check box if you select the Other System Overhead check box. Pulldown Commands The start value in the range of pulldown commands whose
language dependent components you want to export to XML. Pulldown Commands The end value in the range of pulldown commands whose language

whose language dependent components you want to export to XML. Export VRC The release code of the VRC
whose language dependent components you want to export to XML. Export VRC The customer code of the VRC
whose language dependent components you want to export to XML. Include all previous VRC's If this check box is selected, the VRC tree from the Export VRC down is
searched for language-dependent components to be exported. Include previous VRCs back to and including: If this check box is selected, in the adjacent three
fields you can define the VRC search depth. Only language dependent components
in the VRC range from (and including) the VRC you define in the adjacent
fields, to (and including) the Export VRC are exported to XML. Note The VRC you specify in the adjacent fields must be a parent of the Export VRC. Include previous VRCs back to and including: The version code of the VRC
search depth. Only language dependent components in the VRC range from (and
including) the VRC you define with this field, to (and including) the Export VRC are exported
to XML. Note The VRC you specify must be a parent VRC of the Export VRC. Include previous VRCs back to and including: The release code of the VRC
search depth. Only language dependent components in the VRC range from (and
including) the VRC you define with this field, to (and including) the Export VRC are exported
to XML. Note The VRC you specify must be a parent VRC of the Export VRC. Include previous VRCs back to and including: The customer code of the VRC

to XML. Note The VRC you specify must be a parent VRC of the Export VRC. Choose to select modules Select: Yes, to define a range of modules from your package whose language dependent components you want to export to XML. You specify your module range on the following form. No, I want to export all modules, to export all your package's language dependent components to XML. The wizard's form for specifying a module range does not appear. Note This option is only available if you select one package in the Select list or range of packages box (same package in the From and To fields). Choose list or range to select modules If you select:
Specify a list of modules to export (example 'aad, adv, '): Define a list of non-successive modules (by code), whose
language dependent components you want to export to XML. Note You can only maintain this field if you select the Specify a list of modules option. Module Start value in your range of modules whose language dependent
components you want to export to XML. Note
Module End value in your range of modules whose language dependent
components you want to export to XML. Note
Exclude the following modules from the range (example 'adv, aad, '): If this check box is selected, in the adjacent field
you can type or select modules you want to exclude from the range of modules
whose language dependent parts are exportd to XML. Note You can only maintain this check box if you select the Select a range of modules option. Exclude the following modules from the range (example 'adv, aad, '): If you select the Exclude the following modules from the range (example 'adv, aad, '): check box, in this field you
can select the modules you want to exclude from the range of modules whose
language dependent components you want to export to XML. Export File Type or select the path, and file name that Tools creates for the
language dependent components you want to export. Create a file per exported package If this check box is selected, Tools creates a seperate file for every package
whose language dependent components you export. Every package's file gets the
file name you specifed in the Export File field with the file extension
_<package code>. Note If you only select to export one package, Tools clears and disables this check box. Specify the VRC in which the exported components will be imported: If this check box is selected, in the Import VRC fields, you can
define the VRC into which the exported components will be imported (after
translation). Import VRC Type or select the version code of the VRC in
which the exported components will be imported into (after translation). Note
Import VRC Type or select the release code of the VRC in
which the exported components will be imported into (after translation). Note
Import VRC Type or select the customer code of the VRC in
which the exported components will be imported into (after translation). Note
Target Language The code of the language the exported components will be
translated into. Note
Advanced Options Shows advanced options that you can use to export the
langage-dependent data. Compress export file(s) If this check box is selected, Tools compresses, and encrypts the exported files.
If compress6.2 adds the extension .Z to the exported files, Tools removes the .Z
extention. Note You can only select this option if you have developer authorizations, or translator authorizations. Calculate counters If this check box is selected, Tools calculates and displays the export statistics
in the Export Wizard Closing Dialog (ttadv8911m000) session. Note You can only select this check box if you have developer authorizations, or translator authorizations. Check on general use labels in reports If this check box is selected, LN checks every label
to be exported to see if the label is used in any report. If the label is used in a report, the label length in the report is used for export. If the label is used in more than one report, the shortest length is used for export. This option slows down the export process. Check your selections: Lists your export selections. To make changes use the < Back button to regress to the appropriate form. Add text to file (optional, max. 5 lines) You can enter a descriptive text for future reference. Save Defaults Saves the current settings as your default settings. Click Get Defaults in the wizard s first screen to retrieve your
default settings. Specify the language in which the components will be translated: If this check box is selected, in the Target Language field, you
can define the code of the language the exported components will be translated
into.
