Tools Interface Version
The TIV number of the package VRC.

During the dump or compilation of a session or form, the TIV number determines the actual functionality in the session/form dump. If the TIV number is not set, or is equal to zero, sessions and forms are dumped in the highest available version.

The TIV number on VRC level is important on maintenance systems where different versions, or feature packs, are customized and/or maintained. The TIV number ensures the sessions/forms are dumped in the correct version.

This table shows the available TIV numbers:

Integration with Package VRCs in Pack.Combination
If software components of the new package VRC use components of other packages, you must specify the package combination in which that package VRC was defined.

For example:

  • a table field of one package can use a domain of another package, or
  • a script can use functions of other packages.

This field is filled automatically when a package VRC is linked to a package combination.
