To use surcharge data

You use surcharges to calculate the indirect costs of the budget of the project in the Budgeting module and/or the actual indirect costs of the project in the Project Accounting module.

Use the Standard Surcharges (tppdm1870m000) session to list and start the following sessions, which you can use to define different types of standard surcharges:

  • Standard Surcharges by Cost Type and in General (tppdm1570m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Cost Component (tppdm1571m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Material (tppdm1572m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Labor (tppdm1573m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Equipment (tppdm1574m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Subcontracting (tppdm1575m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Sundry Cost (tppdm1576m000)
  • Standard Surcharges by Revenue (tppdm1577m000)

Irrespective of its cost type, however, each surcharge is posted to a sundry cost code.

You can use the Surcharges (tpppc2880m000) session to list and start the sessions for defining different types of project-specific surcharges.

You can use surcharges to categorize indirect project costs, such as general overhead costs, including storage, handling, and maintenance costs, management overheads and so on. Surcharges are calculated as a percentage of direct costs and are posted to a sundry costs cost object.

Surcharge sessions Use the Budget Cost Surcharges (tpptc0821m000) session to list and access the various sessions that enable you to display and maintain cost surcharge details. You can enter cost surcharges:

  • For the project as a whole.
  • By cost component within a project.
  • By cost type in a project.

To print details of cost surcharge for a selected project and sundry cost range, use the Print Budget Cost Surcharges (tpptc0420m000) session. To list the various sessions that enable you to display cost surcharge history, use the Budget Cost Surcharge History (tpptc0822m000) session.
