Using order documents

Order documents, such as routing sheets and material lists, are used to communicate with the shop floor and subcontractors.

If the Printing Order Doc. Mandatory parameter in the Shop Floor Control Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session is set, no production order can be released before the corresponding order documents have been printed. When the order documents have been printed, the order status switches to Documents Printed.

Note
  • The Printing Order Doc. Mandatory parameter has no effect on repetitive items or FAS items.
  • Production orders for repetitive items and FAS items can always be released without your printing the order documents first.

In the Shop Floor Control Parameters (tisfc0100s000) session you can indicate which order documents must normally be printed. You can still change this selection when you actually print the documents. Other parameters can be used to determine if outbound data must be printed and on which documents it should be printed.

Use the Print Production Order Documents (tisfc0408m000) session to print the documents. You can start this session if you click Print in the Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) session or the Production Order (tisfc0101m100) session. If the production order is Planned, you can choose between two options: Print Production Order Documents and Print Production Order Documents and Release.

  • Print Production Order Documents
The Print Production Order Documents (tisfc0408m000) session is started so that you can print the production order documents. After that, you must manually release the production order.
  • Print Production Order Documents and Release
The Print Production Order Documents (tisfc0408m000) session is started to print the production order documents, but after that, the planned production order is automatically released.

The Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) session displays whether an order document has been printed, and whether the information on the document has been modified after printing.
