Replenish Shop Floor Warehouse (tiasc8210m000)

Use this session to create or update supply messages, also called transfer data, that suppliers or warehouses can use to transfer items to a shop-floor warehouse.

Functionality

The session can generate and update supply messages. The functionality of this session is mainly determined by the Supply System you use.

 

Assembly Order
The assembly order for which the supply messages are created.
Note
  • The supply messages are actually generated or updated for the LSOs that are contained in the assembly order. Specifically, the messages are generated for the LSO that exists for the Line Station Supply At station.
  • The assembly order must have one of the following statuses:
    • Sequenced
    • In Progress
    • Completed
Line Station Trigger From
The line station in this field either triggers the generation or update of supply messages, or determines whether supply messages must be unblocked.

The functions of this field are explained in the following points:

  • The line station you select in this field determines whether supply messages for internal supply must be unblocked. If the current session generates messages for internal supply, the messages by default receive the Blocked status. Blocked messages produce blocked warehouse orders, that are not processed by Warehousing, although these orders can be used for scheduling and reservation purposes. When existing messages are updated, they can be unblocked. Whether the update unblocks the messages, depends on the line station that is selected in the current field. If the line station in this field is equal to the Trigger-from Station, defined in the Warehouse - Item (whwmd2110s000) session, the messages are unblocked. If the supply messages are just generated at this line station, the messages are at once unblocked. The status of the supply messages is displayed in the Blocked field in the Assembly Part Supply Transfer (SILS) (tiasc8520m000) session.
  • If you run this session manually, this field only determines whether supply messages must be unblocked, as explained in the previous point. The line station for which you generate or update supply messages is only determined by the Line Station Supply At field. However, if you run this session in a process triggered workflow, the current field can be identified as the Trigg. by Stn in the Process Trigger Definition (tiasl8100m000) session, which defines at which station the current session must be run, that is, which station triggers the generation or update of supply messages for the LSO that exists for the Line Station Supply At station.
Note
  • Only SILS supply messages can be updated and only if they are for internal supply, they can be unblocked. So, for Batch supply messages, this field is only used for the generation of the messages, if you use this session in a process triggered workflow. Refer to the Functionality section of the session help for more information.
  • The actual trigger is not a line station, but an event that occurs at the line station. For example, if a line station order is reported complete at the specified station, this event triggers the current session, which generates or updates supply messages for the line station order that exists for the combination assembly order & line station, which are specified in the Assembly Order field and the Line Station Supply At field.
Line Station Supply At
The line station for which the supply messages are generated or updated.

Two rules apply to this field:

  • The Line Station Order Status for Assembly Orders (tiasc2502m000) and Line Station Supply At must not be Completed or Closed.
  • Station Type must be Line Station.
Assembly Kit
When the assembly part belongs to an assembly kit of type Product, supply messages for all components of this assembly kit are (re)generated to facilitate that they can be transferred simultaneously to the first line station of the assembly line.
Job Sequence Type
The job sequence you want to use as basis for the calculation of the delivery times of the required assembly parts in the shop floor warehouse.

The following options exist:

  • Planned The planned sequence of the work on the assembly order is taken as basis. That is, the planned times of the line station order (LSO) for the Line Station Supply At station are used to calculate the planned delivery time of the requested parts, even if at that moment the actual times of the order differ from the planned times.
  • Actual The actual sequence of the work on the assembly order is taken as basis. If you use process triggered workflow, the current session is run, for example, when the line station order for the Line Station Trigger From station is reported as Completed. LN then detects any differences between the actual times and the planned times of the LSO, and takes this differences into account when calculating the planned delivery time of the requested parts.
Note

You can only take the actual sequence as basis, if the parts are ordered through the SILS supply system.
