Generate Assembly Order Lists for Critical Parts (tiasc2245m000)

Use this session to generate lists of assembly orders that cannot be executed due to a lack of assembly parts. A report of these orders is displayed in the Assembly Part Shortage - Assembly Orders (tiasc2545m000) session.

Requirement Date
Specify the date or period for which the check must be performed.
Regenerate Order Lists
When you run this session, lists of orders are created for each combination of the dates and assembly parts you specified; unless for that combination no shortages occur or no orders can be found. Also a Number of Extra Orders will be added to the list if you specified so. These lists are displayed in the Assembly Part Shortage - Assembly Orders (tiasc2545m000) session for each combination of day and assembly part.

If you select this check box, LN deletes any existing order list for each combination of day and assembly part, that falls in the specified range. So the new lists replace the existing lists. If for a certain combination of assembly part and requirement date no new list could be generated, any existing list for that combination is still deleted.

If you clear this check box, LN compares the new lists with the existing lists. If some of the newly created lists do not exist yet, they will be added as new lists. If LN has found new orders for an existing list, they are added to this list. However, the orders on the existing list all remain, even if they are outdated. So the update is only partial. It is, therefore, recommended to use this option only for performance reasons, when you are trying a new check immediately after the preceding one.

Select Orders Based On
Select the set of criteria LN has to consider, if it has to choose out of several orders which to add to the list. The orders with the lowest priority are selected first.

There are two sets of criteria: Planned Offline Date and Assembly Order Status. Both sets consist of four criteria. All criteria are listed as fields in the Assembly Part Shortage - Assembly Orders (tiasc2545m000) session. The sets differ in the order of their second and third criterion. The criteria of these sets, in their order of priority are:

Planned Offline Date

  1. Blocked (Yes has priority over No).
  2. Planned offline date (an earlier date has priority over a later date).
  3. Status (Sequenced has priority over Planned).
  4. Demand type (Sales Order has priority over Pseudo Order).

Assembly Order Status

  1. Blocked (Yes has priority over No).
  2. Status (Sequenced has priority over Planned).
  3. Planned offline date (an earlier date has priority over a later date).
  4. Demand type (Sales Order has priority over Pseudo Order).

Note

  • The first criterion is used differently from the other three. All blocked orders, for a certain combination of requirement date and assembly part, are always selected. If this is not sufficient to meet the total shortage quantity, the other three criteria are used to select other orders, untill the shortage quantity is reached.
  • The planned offline date has respect to the offline date of the parent order.
  • The criteria are listed in sequence of their priority, but the list of orders is displayed in reverse order: The lowest priority orders first, because they are the best candidates to block. However, the exact order in which the orders are listed depends not on these criteria, but on the view that is selected in the Assembly Part Shortage - Assembly Orders (tiasc2545m000) session.
Number of Extra Orders
For each combination of date and assembly part, LN generates a list of orders that together contain the amount of assembly parts that are lacking for that day. If you want a longer list, specify a number of extra orders to be added. These orders are also selected according to the set of criteria you specified.
