Operations (tiapl1500m000)

Use this session to define the operations that are used to assemble the product variant.

In the Operation Assignments (tiapl1510m000) session, which you can start from the appropriate menu, the operations are assigned to one or more line stations.

If the operations are not defined in LN, but delivered by an external source, you cannot change the operations, but only display these operations.

The session is enabled for data entry through the Operation Details (tiapl1100s000) session, if the following conditions apply:

  • Your current company is defined as the master company in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.
  • The External Assembly Parts and Operations check box is cleared, or the Test Mode check box is selected in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.

 

Operation
The code of the operation.
Task
The code of the task. A task is a specific sort of operations, for example, drilling. All activities that pertain to drilling holes are classified under the task Drilling.
Operation Text
If this check box is selected, an operation text exists, which contains detailed instructions for the task.

Click Text in the current session, or in the Operation Details (tiapl1100s000) session, to view or edit the text.

The instructions can be printed on the work instructions in Assembly Control.

Cycle Time
The duration time of the operation, expressed as a number of Cycle Time Unit.
Note

The cycle time cannot be zero.

Cycle Time Unit
The unit in which the Cycle Time is expressed.
