To create a mapping scheme version

LN performs version control on the mapping schemes. To change or extend the mapping scheme, you must create a new version of the existing mapping scheme.

To create a mapping scheme version, you have two options:

  • Create a new version of the current mapping scheme
    1. In the Mapping Scheme (tfgld4573m000) session, on the appropriate menu, click Find Active Mapping Scheme.

      LN displays the active version.

    2. On the appropriate menu, click Copy to New Mapping Scheme Version.

LN copies the version to a new version of the same mapping scheme.

  • Copy the mapping scheme to a mapping scheme with a new code
    • In the Mapping Scheme (tfgld4573m000) session, on the appropriate menu, click Copy to New Mapping Scheme. You must enter a code for the new mapping scheme.

LN automatically generates version one of the new mapping scheme.

Note

You can only copy the mapping scheme version if:

  • The mapping scheme version that you wish to copy is or has been Active. That means that you can only copy a mapping scheme version that has been checked and is sufficiently correct to be used.
  • No other version that is being modified already exists. Only one version of a mapping scheme can be modified at a time.
