Sales Invoices (tfacr1110s000)

Use this session to enter the header of a sales invoice or a credit note.

The sales invoice or credit note is automatically part of the batch in which it was created in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session.

Sales invoices are usually generated in logistic modules outside Financials. In this session, however, you can manually enter sales invoices when necessary. LN registers the invoices you enter in this session as open entries in the Accounts Receivable module, but no sales invoices are printed. Use the Invoicing module to manually enter sales invoices which you can print.

After you have entered the invoice-to business partner in the Business Partner field, LN uses the data entered for this business partner to enter default values in several other relevant fields in this session.

Credit notes

If you are entering a credit note, you can link it to an invoice using the Original Invoice field on the Miscellaneous tab. Do not use this field, however, if you want to link the credit note to more than one invoice. Instead, use the Business Partner - Credit Notes (tfacr2120m000) session and the Assign Credit Notes to Invoices (tfacr2121m000) session.
