User Profiles (tdsls0139m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the default data recorded by the user, which is used to determine the order entry method and the default values during the input of orders.

User profiles use the sales office data for defaults.

The default data substantially affects the creation of:

On the appropriate menu, you can choose Default Devices by User. As a result, the Default Devices by User (tdsls0140m000) session starts in which you can enter the required devices to which external documents must be printed.

 

Login Code
Sales Office
A department that is identified in the company business model to manage the business partner's sales relations. The sales office is used to identify the locations that are responsible for the organization's sales activities.

If a sales order or a sales schedule is created, LN retrieves the default sales office from one of the following sessions:

  • User Profiles (tdsls0139m000).
  • Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4110s000). If no sales office is found in the User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session, LN searches the Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4110s000) session. If no Sales Office is found in the Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4110s000) session either, no Sales Office is defined. As a result, LN cannot retrieve a default sales office.

If a sales contract, or a sales quotation is created, LN retrieves the default sales office from one of the following sessions:

  • Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4110s000).
  • User Profiles (tdsls0139m000). If no sales office is found in the the Sold-to Business Partners (tccom4110s000) session, LN searches the User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session. If no sales office is found in the User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session either, no Sales Office is defined. As a result, LN cannot retrieve a default sales office.
Order Type
The default order type for this user.
Note

If the warehouse is WMS controlled, and the Collect Orders check box is cleared for the warehouse in the WMS Integration Parameters (whwmd2105m000) session, you cannot enter a collect order type in this field.

Warehouse
The default warehouse for this user.

Standard warehouse defaulting logic

  1. Product variant (only for Manufactured items with the default supply source set to Assembly in the Item - General (tcibd0101s000) session).
  2. Ship-to business partner.
  3. Item sales data.
  4. User profile.
  5. Item ordering data.
  6. Sales office.
Work Center
The default work center related to the sales office.

Default value

  • If a work center is linked to the sales office, this work center is automatically loaded.
  • If no work center is linked to the sales office, the work center must be entered manually by zooming to the Departments (tcmcs0565m000) session.
Note

You must first define the work center in the Departments (tcmcs0565m000) session.

Internal Sales Rep
An employee of your company who maintains contact with the sold-to business partner. The employee number of the sales representative is also used as a sorting criterion in the sales statistics.
Device
The device on which documents are printed.

Default value

The device search path for printing internal documents is as follows:

  1. From the User Profiles (tdsls0139m000) session.
  2. From the Sales Order Type - Activities (tdsls0560m000) session.
  3. If no device can be found, you must select a device from a pop-up screen.

The device search path for printing external documents is as follows:

  1. From the Default Devices by User (tdsls0140m000) session.
  2. From the Sales Order Type - Activities (tdsls0560m000) session.
  3. If no device can be found, you must select a device from a pop-up screen.
Note

If an error report is printed, LN always uses the device entered in this field.

Sales Order Number Group
The number group that is assigned to the user profile for sales orders.
Sales Order Series
The series that is assigned to the user profile for sales orders.

Default value

  • If a sales order series is linked to the sales office, this series is automatically loaded.
  • If no sales order series is linked to the sales office, you must enter the series manually by zooming to the Departments (tcmcs0565m000) session.
Note

You must first define the series in the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session.

Inexperienced Operator
If this check box is selected, the user is considered to be inexperienced. Sales orders created by inexperienced users can be blocked.
Automatic Inventory Shortage Handling
If this check box is selected, LN automatically takes the correct action whenever an inventory shortage appears.

If this check box is cleared, and insufficient inventory is available to deliver a sales order line, sales order component line, or sales quotation line on time, LN automatically starts the Inventory Shortage Menu (tdsls4830s000) session. You must select the appropriate action to take.

If the Automatic Inventory Shortage Handling check box is selected in the current session, in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session, define the automatic action to take when an inventory shortage occurs for the following four item types:

  • Non-generic/Not Planned Item Option
  • Non-generic/Planned Item Option
  • Generic/Not Planned Item Option
  • Generic/Planned Item Option
Note

For sales order (component) lines, the Inventory Check Moment field in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session determines when the inventory is checked for an order type. For sales quotation lines, the inventory checking moment is recorded in the Sales Quotation Parameters (tdsls0100s100) session.

Maintain Statistics
If this check box is selected, the user is allowed to maintain sales statistics.
Can Release Credit Held Orders
If this check box is selected, the user is allowed to release sales orders that are held for Credit Check purposes.
Can Release Generally Held Orders
If this check box is selected, the user is allowed to release sales orders that are held for General purposes.
Can Release Margin Held Orders
If this check box is selected, you can release sales orders that are subject to margin control activities.
Can Release Promotion Check Held Orders
If this check box is selected, the user is allowed to release sales orders that are held for Promotion Check purposes.
