Category Structure (tdpct0102s000)

Use this session to create, maintain, and display a level of a category structure. Each valid category can have a lower level category structure associated with it.

Category Structure
The category for which a category structure is generated.
Note

You can define categories in the Category (tdpct0101s000) session.

Position Number
The number that is used to identify the relative position of each member of the current category structure. The position number begins with 10 and is automatically incremented by 10 for each new position.
Category/Item Flag
The type of the lower level entry, which can be Category or Item.
Structure Data
Category
If the Category/Item Flag is Category, this field is a valid subcategory. If the Category/Item Flag is Item, this field is unavailable.
Item
If the Category/Item Flag is Item, this field is a valid item. If the Category/Item Flag is Category, this field is unavailable.
Note

You cannot enter an item whose item type is one of the following:

  • Equipment
  • List
  • Subcontracting
Search Key
The search key for either the Category or the Item.

Default value

LN takes the default value from the item or category description. You can override this value.

Manufacturer
A specific manufacturer for the item.
Buy-from BP
The business partner from whom you order goods or services; this usually represents a supplier's sales department. The definition includes the default price and discount agreements, purchase-order defaults, delivery terms, and the related ship-from and invoice-from business partner.
