| Global Update of Purchase Prices via Price Matrices (tdpcg0230m320)Use this session to update purchase prices
in purchase price matrices. To update prices, proceed as follows: - Select a Matrix Definition to update prices that are linked to
purchase price matrices that use the selected Matrix Definition.
- Specify your selection range on the General tab of this session. Specifying ranges will
narrow down the selection of purchase price matrices selected in the previous
step.
- Specify the selection range for matrix attributes. By
specifying a range of matrix attributes, you can fine-tune your selection of
applicable price matrices: only matrices that have matrix attributes of the
specified range are selected. As a result, only the prices of the selected
price matrices will be updated. You can specify a range of matrix attributes on
the Purchase tab of this session.
- Create a report to update the (ranges of) attributes. If you
only want to simulate an update report, select the Simulation Only check box.
Note - Update the price on the General tab of this session. Specify the percentage or
the amount by which the prices must be updated.
- Only matrix attributes are enabled that are defined for the Matrix Definition.
Matrix Definition Defines the group of elements (matrix attributes) that a Pricing matrix uses to
determine a price, discount, promotion, or freight rate. Imagine you are a furniture vendor and you decide to
maintain your sales prices based on two elements: - The specific item you sell.
- The way to handle payments.
In this case, the matrix type is Sales Price, the matrix definition is Furni (this name is user-definable),
and the matrix attributes are Item and Payment Method. Note - Matrix definitions
are maintained in the Matrix Definitions (tdpcg0110m000) session.
- You cannot enter
matrix definitions without matrix attributes in this session.
Matrix Type The matrix type, which is Purchase Price in this session. Update Price Use this field to update the price. You can update the price
with a percentage or with a value. - Select the By Percentage check box if you want to update the price with a

- Select the By Value check box if you want to update the price with a value. As a
result, the Value to Change By field is available.

calculate costs, record budgets, and register tax amounts

be updated with a percentage or with a value. Rounding Code Set of up to six ranges of values and their rounding values.
Rounding codes can be linked to quantities and amounts. They are used when you
calculate, for example, purchase prices and discounts, sales prices and
discounts, and warehousing rates. Example A rounding code can define the following ranges with their
rounding values: - Up to 100: round to whole numbers
- From 100 to 100,000: round to a multiple of 5
- From 100,000 onward: round to a multiple of 100.
