Terms and Conditions Line (tctrm1620m000)

Use this session to view, enter, and maintain a specific terms and conditions line and the detailed terms and conditions of the linked terms and conditions groups.

This session supports easy line entry for a terms and conditions agreement. You can enter a terms and conditions line and specify the terms and conditions groups on one screen.

To start this session, do one of the following:

  • Double-click a record in the Terms and Conditions Lines (tctrm1120m000) session.
  • Double-click a line on the Terms and Conditions Lines tab of the Terms and Conditions Search Level - Lines (tctrm1610m000) session.
  • Start the session stand-alone.
Terms and Conditions Groups

The lines on the tabs refer to the following sessions:

  • Order
    The lines on the Order tab refer to the Order Terms and Conditions (tctrm1130m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the order terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
  • Schedule
    The lines on the Schedule tab refer to the Schedule Terms and Conditions (tctrm1131m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the schedule terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
  • Planning
    The lines on the Planning tab refer to the Planning Terms and Conditions (tctrm1135m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the planning terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
  • Logistics
    The lines on the Logistics tab refer to the Logistics Terms and Conditions (tctrm1140m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the logistics terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
  • Invoicing
    The lines on the Invoicing tab refer to the Invoicing Terms and Conditions (tctrm1145m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the invoicing terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
  • Allocation and Hard Pegging
    The lines on the Allocation and Hard Pegging tab refer to the Demand Pegging Terms and Conditions (tctrm1165m000) session. On this tab, you can enter and view the allocation and hard pegging terms and conditions for the terms and conditions line. For more detailed information, double-click the line.
Note

For Internal terms and conditions agreements, you cannot define the planning, invoicing, and allocation/hard pegging terms and conditions. The reason for this is that on this type of agreement, two internal business partners (one in the buy-from and one in the sold-to role) are stored in the same LN system.

 

Terms and Conditions ID
An agreement between business partners about the sale, purchase, or transfer of goods, in which you can define detailed terms and conditions about orders, schedules, planning, logistics, invoicing, and demand pegging, and define the search mechanism to retrieve the correct terms and conditions.

The agreement includes the following:

  • A header with the type of agreement and the business partner(s).
  • Search levels with a search priority and a selection of search attributes (fields) and linked terms and conditions groups.
  • One or more lines with the values for the search levels’ search attributes.
  • Terms and conditions groups with detailed terms and conditions about orders, schedules, planning, logistics, invoicing, and demand pegging for the lines.
Search Level
A priority level for searching and selecting a terms and conditions line. Search levels include a selection of search attributes (fields) and linked terms and conditions groups.
Position
The number used to identify the position of the terms and conditions line on the terms and conditions agreement or the terms and conditions template.
Priority
Search priorities are used to find a valid agreement for the entered search combination or search level.

If a valid agreement is found for the first priority, the agreement will be used. If not, LN searches for a valid agreement for the second priority and so on.

Terms and Conditions Type
Defines the type of terms and conditions agreement or template and is linked to a set of search attributes. Each terms and conditions type has its own search attributes.

The following terms and conditions types are available:

  • Purchase
    Purchase terms and conditions agreements can be linked to purchase contracts.
  • Sales
    Sales terms and conditions agreements can be linked to sales contracts.
  • Internal
    Internal terms and conditions agreements can be linked to enterprise unit relationships.
Business Partner
The buy-from business partner or the sold-to business partner to whom the terms and conditions agreement applies.

Item
In LN, the raw materials, subassemblies, finished products, and tools that can be purchased, stored, manufactured, sold, and so on.

An item can also represent a set of items handled as one kit, or exist in multiple product variants.

You can also define nonphysical items, which are not held in inventory but can be used to post costs or to invoice services to customers. The following are examples of nonphysical items:

  • Cost items (for example, electricity)
  • Service items
  • Subcontracting services
  • List items (menus/options)
Note

If the Planning check box is selected in the Terms and Conditions Search Level - Lines (tctrm1610m000) session, only items for which the order system is set to Planned or FAS and for which ordering data is defined in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2500m000) session, can be entered in this field.

Item Group
Group of items with similar characteristics. Each item belongs to a particular item group. The item group is used in combination with the item type to set up item defaults.
Product Type
User-definable item grouping data that is used as a sorting and selecting criterion. The product type is intended for classifying items with similar characteristics for production purposes.
Product Line
A group of products made by the same producer, that are similar but differ in details such as, size, shape, color, and so on. User-definable item grouping data, mainly used as an item selection criterion for reporting.
Product Class
User-definable item grouping data that is used to distinguish between different groups of items in a product line. The product class is mainly used as a selection criterion for reporting.
Warehouse Company
The warehouse's company.
Warehouse
A place for storing goods. For each warehouse, you can enter address data and data relating to its type.
Warehouse Set
A group of warehouses with similar characteristics. A warehouse can belong to one particular warehouse set.
Department Company
The department's company.
Department
A company's organizational unit that carries out a specific set of tasks, for example, a sales office or a purchase office. Departments are assigned number groups for the orders they issue. The department's enterprise unit determines the financial company to which the financial transactions that the department generates are posted.
Ship-to Business Partner
The business partner to which you ship the ordered goods. This usually represents a customer's distribution center or warehouse. The definition includes the default warehouse from which you send the goods, the carrier who carries out the transport, and the related sold-to business partner.
Invoice-to BP
The business partner to which you send invoices. This usually represents a customer's accounts payable department. The definition includes the default currency and exchange rate, invoicing method and frequency, information about the customer's credit limit, the terms and method of payment, and the related pay-by business partner.
Ship-from Business Partner
The business partner that ships the ordered goods to your organization. This usually represents a supplier's distribution center or warehouse. The definition includes the default warehouse at which you want to receive the goods and if you want to inspect the goods, the carrier that takes care of the transport, and the related buy-from business partner.
Invoice-from BP
The business partner that sends invoices to your organization. This usually represents a supplier's accounts receivable department. The definition includes the default currency and exchange rate, invoicing method and frequency, information about your organization's credit limit, the terms and method of payment, and the related pay-to business partner.

 

Terms and Conditions Lines
Generate Default Terms and Conditions
If the terms and conditions agreement is generated from a terms and conditions template, use this command to copy the template's terms and conditions groups after the terms and conditions lines are manually defined.

Note

In terms and conditions agreements it is mandatory to specify the terms and conditions lines. However, in terms and conditions templates the lines can be left empty, while the terms and conditions groups are filled.
