Email (tccom6600m500)

Use this session to view, enter, and maintain e-mails.

An e-mail can be linked to a contact, a business partner, an opportunity, or an activity.

You can start this session from the Activities (tccom6100m000) overview session, by double-clicking a record of the Email type , or by clicking New Email or Follow Up Email on the appropriate menu. You can also start this session stand-alone.

Note
  • Use the From, To, Cc, and Bcc buttons to select recipients for the e-mail from the Recipients (tccom6600m900) session.
  • You can only update e-mails with the Draft status.
E-mail lines

The lines on the tabs refer to the following sessions:

  • Attachments
    The lines on the Attachments tab refer to the Attachments (tccom6110m000) session. On this tab, you can link attachments to an e-mail and view and maintain the linked attachments.
  • Notes
    The lines on the Notes tab refer to the Notes (tcstl1550m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, and maintain the notes that are linked to the e-mail. If you double-click a line or enter a new note on this tab, the Note (tcstl1650m000) session is started.
  • References
    The lines on the References tab refer to the References by Activity (tccom6115m000) session. On this tab, you can view and specify reference information for an e-mail.
  • Additional Attributes
    The lines on the Additional Attributes tab refer to the Attributes (tdsmi2101m000) session. On this tab, you can add attributes to the e-mail.

From
The name of the recipient who created or sent the e-mail.
To
The name of the recipient to whom the e-mail is sent.
Cc
The name of the recipient other than the recipient in the To field, whose name is visible to other recipients of the message.
Bcc
The name of the recipient other than the recipient in the To field, whose name is invisible to other recipients of the message.
Direction
The e-mail's direction.
  • Inbound
    The e-mail is or will be received and is manually created in this session.
  • Outbound
    The e-mail is or will be sent from this session.
Sent
The date and time the e-mail obtains the Sent or Received status.
Subject
Enter a short description of the e-mail.
Information
Use this field to add a message to the e-mail.
Contact
The contact for whom the e-mail is created.
Business Partner
The business partner for whom the e-mail is created.
Phase
The phase in the sales process for which the e-mail is created.
Activity
The activity for which the e-mail is created.
Priority
The priority that is assigned to the e-mail.
Status
The e-mail's status.
  • Draft
    The e-mail is created.
  • Received
    The created e-mail is set to Received in this session.
  • Sent
    The e-mail is sent from this session.
Created by
The user who created the e-mail.
Creation Date
The date on which the e-mail is created.
Last Modified by
The user who last modified the e-mail.
Last Modification Date
The last date on which the e-mail is modified.
Series
The series used for the e-mail.

Default value

The Series for Emails from the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.

Email
An activity type that specifies an e-mail created for a contact, business partner, opportunity, or activity that you want to record in LN. E-mails can be created to send them, but also to manually register received e-mails. An e-mail has selected recipients.
Sensitivity
The type of e-mail.

 

Send Email
Sends the e-mail to the recipients.
Done
Sets an Inbound e-mail with the Draft status to Received.
High Priority
Sets the Priority field of a Draft e-mail to High.
Low Priority
Sets the Priority field of a Draft e-mail to Low.
Follow Up Appointment
Starts the Appointment (tccom6600m100) session in which you can enter a follow-up appointment for the e-mail.
Follow Up Call
Starts the Call (tccom6600m200) session in which you can enter a follow-up call for the e-mail.
Follow Up Task
Starts the Task (tccom6600m300) session in which you can enter a follow-up task for the e-mail.
Follow Up Email
Starts the Email (tccom6600m500) session in which you can enter a follow-up e-mail for the e-mail.
