Call (tccom6600m200)

Use this session to view, enter, and maintain calls.

A call can be linked to a (combination of) contact, business partner, opportunity, or activity.

You can start this session from the Activities (tccom6100m000) overview session, by double-clicking a record of the Call type , or by clicking New Call or Follow Up Call on the appropriate menu. You can also start this session stand-alone.

Call lines

The lines on the tabs refer to the following sessions:

  • Attendee
    The lines on the Attendee tab refer to the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session. On this tab, you can add attendees to the call.
  • Notes
    The lines on the Notes tab refer to the Notes (tcstl1550m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, and maintain the notes that are linked to the call. If you double-click a line or enter a new note on this tab, the Note (tcstl1650m000) session is started.
  • References
    The lines on the References tab refer to the References by Activity (tccom6115m000) session. On this tab, you can view and specify reference information for a call.
  • Additional Attributes
    The lines on the Additional Attributes tab refer to the Attributes (tdsmi2101m000) session. On this tab, you can add attributes to the call.

Subject
Enter a short description of the call.
Synchronize
If this check box is selected, the call must be synchronized with the attendees' calendar events in Microsoft Exchange.

This check box is only visible if the Synchronize Activities check box is selected in the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.

Note

This check box is only available if, in the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session:

  • An attendee is entered for whom the Attendance field is set to Meeting Organizer.
  • The Invite check box is selected for one or more attendees other than the Meeting Organizer.
  • The attendee's E-Mail field is filled.
Start Date
The date and time the activity started.
Duration Hours
The duration of the call expressed in hours and minutes.
Duration Minutes
The duration of the call expressed in hours and minutes.
Reminder
If this check box is selected, a reminder is set for the call.
Reminder Value
The amount of time before the call that you want the reminder to appear.
Reminder Type
The amount of time before the call that you want the reminder to appear.
Show Time As
An attendee's availability status during the time period of the call.
Contact
The contact for whom the call is made.
Business Partner
The business partner for whom the call is made.
Phase
The phase in the sales process for which the call is made.
Activity
The activity for which the call is made.
Information
Use this field to add text to the call.
Status
The call status, which informs you about the progress of the call.
Direction
Define whether the call is incoming or outgoing.
Organizer
The employee who organizes the call.
Note

This field is filled with the attendee for whom the Attendance field is set to Meeting Organizer in the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session.

Call
An activity type that specifies a call scheduled for a contact, business partner, opportunity, or activity that you want to track through completion. A call has invited attendees.
Created by
The user who created the call.
Creation Date
The date on which the call is created.
Last Modified by
The user who last modified the call.
Last Modification Date
The last date on which the call is modified.
Series
The series used for the call.

Default value

The Series for Calls from the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.

Time Zone
The time zone that is used in MS Exchange to show the correct time for a call.

The time zone is retrieved from the user that creates and synchronizes the call.

 

Done
Completes the call and sets its status to Held.
Follow Up Appointment
Starts the Appointment (tccom6600m100) session in which you can enter a follow-up appointment for the call.
Follow Up Call
Starts the Call (tccom6600m200) session in which you can enter a follow-up call for the call.
Follow Up Task
Starts the Task (tccom6600m300) session in which you can enter a follow-up task for the call.
Follow Up Email
Starts the Email (tccom6600m500) session in which you can enter a follow-up e-mail for the call.
