Appointment (tccom6600m100)

Use this session to view, enter, and maintain appointments.

An appointment can be linked to a contact, a business partner, an opportunity, or an activity.

You can start this session from the Activities (tccom6100m000) overview session, by double-clicking a record of the Appointment type , or by clicking New Appointment or Follow Up Appointment on the appropriate menu. You can also start this session stand-alone.

Appointment lines

The lines on the tabs refer to the following sessions:

  • Attendee
    The lines on the Attendee tab refer to the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session. On this tab, you can add attendees to the appointment.
  • Notes
    The lines on the Notes tab refer to the Notes (tcstl1550m000) session. On this tab, you can view, enter, and maintain the notes that are linked to the appointment. If you double-click a line or enter a new note on this tab, the Note (tcstl1650m000) session is started.
  • References
    The lines on the References tab refer to the References by Activity (tccom6115m000) session. On this tab, you can view and specify reference information for an appointment.
  • Additional Attributes
    The lines on the Additional Attributes tab refer to the Attributes (tdsmi2101m000) session. On this tab, you can add attributes to the appointment.

Subject
Enter a short description of the appointment.
Synchronize
If this check box is selected, the appointment must be synchronized with the attendees' calendar events in Microsoft Exchange.

This check box is only visible if the Synchronize Activities check box is selected in the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.

Note

This check box is only available if, in the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session:

  • An attendee is entered for whom the Attendance field is set to Meeting Organizer.
  • The Invite check box is selected for one or more attendees other than the Meeting Organizer.
  • The attendee's E-Mail field is filled.
Location
The location where the appointment takes place.
All Day
If this check box is selected, an all day appointment is applicable. Therefore, you can only enter start end end dates, no times.
Start Date
The date and time the activity started.
End Date
The date and time the appointment is finished.
Reminder
If this check box is selected, a reminder is set for the appointment.
Reminder Value
The amount of time before the appointment that you want the reminder to appear.
Reminder Type
The amount of time before the appointment that you want the reminder to appear.
Show Time As
An attendee's availability status during the time period of the appointment.
Contact
The contact for whom the appointment is made.
Business Partner
The business partner for whom the appointment is made.
Phase
The phase in the sales process for which the appointment is made.
Activity
The activity for which the appointment is made.
Information
Use this field to add text to the appointment.
Status
The appointment status, which informs you about the progress of the appointment.
Organizer
The employee who organizes the appointment.
Note

This field is filled with the attendee for whom the Attendance field is set to Meeting Organizer in the Attendee (tccom6105m000) session.

Appointment
An activity type that specifies an appointment scheduled for a contact, business partner, opportunity, or activity that you want to track through completion. An appointment has invited atttendees.
Created by
The user who created the appointment.
Creation Date
The date on which the appointment is created.
Last Modified by
The user who last modified the appointment.
Last Modification Date
The last date on which the appointment is modified.
Series
The series used for the appointment.

Default value

The Series for Appointments from the COM Parameters (tccom0000s000) session.

Time Zone
The time zone that is used in MS Exchange to show the correct time for an appointment.

The time zone is retrieved from the user that creates and synchronizes the appointment.

 

Done
Completes the appointment and sets its status to Held.
Follow Up Appointment
Starts the Appointment (tccom6600m100) session in which you can enter a follow-up appointment for the appointment.
Follow Up Call
Starts the Call (tccom6600m200) session in which you can enter a follow-up call for the appointment.
Follow Up Task
Starts the Task (tccom6600m300) session in which you can enter a follow-up task for the appointment.
Follow Up Email
Starts the Email (tccom6600m500) session in which you can enter a follow-up e-mail for the appointment.
