| Addresses by Business Partner (tccom4133m000)Use this session to display an overview of
the addresses that you defined for the business partner roles. This session is for information only. During the various
business processes, LN does not check the information in this session. Business Partner A party with whom you carry out business transactions, for
example, a customer or a supplier. You can also define departments within your
organization that act as customers or suppliers to your own department as
business partners. The business partner definition includes: - The organization's name and main address.
- The language and currency used.
- Taxation and legal identification data.
You address the business partner in the person of the
business partner's contact. The business-partner status determines if you can
carry out transactions. The transactions type (sales orders, invoices,
payments, shipments) is defined by the business partner's role. Address Code A full set of addressing details, which include the postal
address, access numbers for telephone, fax, and telex, e-mail and Internet
address, identification for taxation purposes, and routing
information. Name The description or name of the code. Country Countries are the national states where your suppliers and
customers are located. For each country you can define the country code,
international dialing, telex, and fax codes. Countries are part of the data that you must set up for tax
reporting. In addition, items can be grouped and selected according to their
country of origin. ZIP Code/Postal Code A number that identifies each postal delivery area. ZIP codes are used: - To sort customer data by address/area.
- To determine in which taxation jurisdiction the address is
located.
- To calculate the distances between delivery addresses.
ZIP codes are printed on forwarding documents on which no
further address data is printed. The ZIP/postal code does not appear in the
address lines on order documents. State/Province State codes are used in electronic filing of 1099-MISC Income.
State codes are part of the address that is linked to the pay-to and pay-by
business partners. The description or name of the code. P.O. Box Number The post-office box number. Time Zone The time zone for this address. Telephone The country's international access-number for the
telephone. The address' main telephone number. Fax The country's international access-number for the
fax. Telex The country's international access-number for the
telex. Website A hyperlink to the internet address that informs you how to
reach the address. E-mail The address' main e-mail address. Building The identification of the building. Floor The floor in the building. Unit The unit in the building. GEO Code The code used together with or instead of address information
such as the city, state/province, and postal code to identify a taxing
jurisdiction. The tax provider determines the GEO code based upon the
address information entered and the county and city selected. Inside City Limits This check box is selected if the address is located within the
actual boundaries of the specified city. The check box is used by the tax provider to determine the proper jurisdiction. Some addresses can
actually be located in unincorporated areas outside of the city, but still use
the city name in their address. This is important for sales tax because some
cities have their own sales tax, but they only have jurisdiction over sales
within their actual city limits. You can select this check box if you have specified that
you are using a tax provider in the Tax Provider Parameters (tctax6100m000) session, and Vertex is the chosen provider. Local Tax Number The fiscal number assigned by the local tax office. If the
business partner that uses this address has a European tax number and a local
tax number, this is the local tax number. In some countries, for example, in Germany, businesses can
have a European tax number and a local tax number. Both tax numbers must be
printed on invoices. The European tax number must be printed on the sales listing and the intrastat report. Route Line of travel from your warehouses to the ship-to or ship-from
business partner's warehouse and vice versa. Use routes to group business
partners that are located in the same area or along one convenient route. You can arrange addresses by routes to print picking lists
and shipping notes sorted by route. Calendar Code The calendar that is used
for this address. Address Format The address format that
is used to retrieve and print the correct address data. If this field is empty, LN uses the format
selected for the country, or the default address format. Last Modified by The user who last modified the address data. The date and time when the address data was changed. This field
is used as a selection criterion in the Delete Unused Addresses (tccom4230m000) session. Address A full set of addressing details, which include the postal
address, access numbers for telephone, fax, and telex, e-mail and Internet
address, identification for taxation purposes, and routing
information. Name The description or name of the code. Pay-by Business Partner If the address is linked to the business partner in this role,
this check box is selected. | |
