Global Update of Order-Specific Inspection Data (qmptc0250m000)

Use this session to add, update, or delete order-specific data collectively for a range of origin orders.

If the Update Mode field has the value:

  • Add: new order-specific inspection data will be generated from the master data.
  • Update: the existing inspection data will be deleted, and then new inspection data from the master data will be generated.
  • Delete: order-specific inspection data will be deleted.
Note

Usually you will only define a selection range when you choose just one origin (unless by chance that specific selection range applies to more origins). If you select more than one origin, without a selection range, all origin orders will be updated.

Update Mode
You can change order-specific inspection data in various ways:
1.
An integrated module or package to which an (inspection) order is related.

In the Quality package an inspection order can relate to various origins:

Origin of Inspection

Operation
One of a series of steps in a routing that are carried out successively to produce an item.

The following data is collected during a routing operation:

  • The task. For example, sawing.
  • The machine used to carry out the task (optional). For example, sawing machine.
  • The place where the task is carried out (work center). For example, woodwork.
  • The number of employees required to carry out the task.

This data is used to compute order lead times, to plan production orders and to calculate cost prices.
