Load In LN,
all goods and/or shipments carried by one means of transport on a specific date
and time and using a specific route. Shipment The smallest consignment for which Freight plans
transportation. A shipment is an identifiable part of a load, and contains a
number of goods that are transported to a given destination on a given
date/time via a specific route. Line The position number of the shipment line. Freight Order Cluster A freight order cluster is a group of freight order lines with
matching properties, such as shipping offices, planning groups, overlapping
time windows, transport means groups, and so on, that is subcontracted to a
carrier. The carrier will plan and carry out the transportation of the goods
listed on the freight order lines according to the subcontracting
order. Carrier PRO Number The number given by the carrier to identify the load. The
carrier uses this number in the invoices it sends to the freight requestors. In
the LN Accounts Payable module,
the carrier pro number is used for invoice matching and approving purposes. Status The status of the load or shipment, which may or may not be
associated with a freight order cluster. These statuses show the progress made
by the shipment or load during transportation. Status Origin The origin of the load tracking statuses. A status is updated
by EDI or entered manually. Actual Unload Date The confirmed date on which unloading takes place at the
ship-to address. User The user logon-code of the user who modified the load data
related to the current history information. Date The date on which the tracking data are maintained. Carrier An organization that provides transport services. To use a
carrier for load building, freight order clustering, transport cost
calculation, and invoicing, you must define the carrier both as a carrier and a
buy-from business partner in Common. A carrier is also referred to as a forwarding agent.
