Print Planned Capacity Use by Resource (cprrp2401m000)

Use this session to generate a report that details the resource order plan or an overall capacity report for one or more primary work centers, and which shows the capacity use needed for the various secondary work centers.

Clear the Print Shared Resources check box to print a resource order plan that shows the capacity use per resource. Only then the From Plan Item and the To Plan Item fields are available to specify a range of plan items for which you want to print the resource order plan.

Select the Print Shared Resources check box, if you want to print a capacity report for one or more primary work centers. You can only select this check box for the actual scenario (the Scenario field is disabled). The reason for this is that you can only aggregate from the actual scenario. The capacity for the secondary work centers however, must be aggregated from other companies that do not have links to the scenario of the current company.

If you selected the Print Shared Resources check box, you can select the Print SFC Capacity Use by Shared Resource check box to print capacity-use data about shared resources for actual production orders in the Shop Floor Control module.

Note

Enterprise Planning only records the capacity use of planned orders for work centers that are defined as resources in Enterprise Planning.

Scenario
Specify the first scenario of the range of scenarios that you want to use as a selection criterion to print the resource order plan.

If you selected the Print Shared Resources check box, you can only enter the actual scenario in this field.

Plan Level
The level within a hierarchical planning structure.

When you plan on a higher plan level, plans are general and less detailed.

Example
[...]

Plan level 1 is the highest plan level; the higher the number, the lower the plan level.

Resource
A group of machines or employees in Enterprise Planning, corresponding to a work center in other LN packages.

Each operation performed to manufacture an item requires a certain capacity amount from a resource (for example, production hours). The capacity of the resource can be a constraint in the planning.

The availability of a resource can be specified by using the resource calendar.

Start Date
The first of a range of start dates that you want to use as a selection criterion to print the resource order plan.
Start Date
The last of a range of start dates that you want to use as a selection criterion to print the resource order plan.
Planned Order
A supply order in Enterprise Planning that is created for planning purposes, but which is not an actual order yet.

Enterprise Planning works with planned orders of the following types:

Planned orders are generated in the context of a particular scenario. The planned orders of the actual scenario can be transferred to the execution level, where they become actual supply orders.

Print Shared Resources
If this check box is selected, LN generates an overall capacity report for one or more primary work centers that shows the capacity needed for planned production orders in the secondary workcenters.

Note that you cannot use plan items as a selection criterion.

SFC Orders
Specify the first of a range of actual production orders for which LN must include data about the capacity use needed in secondary work centers.
SFC Orders
Specify the last of a range of actual production orders for which LN must include data about the capacity use needed in secondary work centers.
Scenario
LN displays (Actual) if the specified scenario is the actual scenario.
Print SFC Capacity Use by Shared Resource
If this check box is selected, LN also prints the capacity use of secondary work centers for the selected range of actual production orders from the Shop Floor Control module.
Scenario
Specify the last scenario of the range of scenarios that you want to use as a selection criterion to print the resource order plan.

If you selected the Print Shared Resources check box, this field is not available.

From Plan Item
An item with the order system Planned.

The production, distribution, or purchase of these items is planned in Enterprise Planning based on the forecast or the actual demand.

You can plan these items by means of the following:

  • Master-based planning, which is similar to master production scheduling techniques.
  • Order-based planning, which is similar to material-requirements planning techniques.
  • A combination of master-based planning and order-based planning.

Plan items can be one of the following:

  • An actual manufactured or purchased item.
  • A product family.
  • A basic model, that is, a defined product variant of a generic item.

A group of similar plan items or families is called a product family. The items are aggregated to give a more general plan than the one devised for individual items. A code displayed by the item code's cluster segment shows that the plan item is a clustered item that is used for distribution planning.

This field is disabled if you selected the Print Shared Resources check box.

To Plan Item
