Channel Master Plan (cpdsp5130m000)Use this session to maintain a channel master plan and to view and maintain demand and ATP data for an item and its channels. You can initialize channel master plans in the Initialize, Roll, and Update Scenario (cprpd4200m000) session, by selecting the Generate Item/Channel Master Plan check box. The channel master plan allows you to control the sales and forecasting of demand that comes from a specific channel. By using this session, you can set demand forecasts and you can specify the demand that is allowed for a certain channel. In addition, all the channel master plans of an item are displayed in a single view and a record containing demand and ATP data from the item master plan is displayed. The Channel field is empty, for this record.

master plan. If the scenario's plan status is Closed, you can no longer modify the data that is related to this scenario. Plan Item The plan item for which LN displays the channel
master plan. Channel A sales or distribution channel used to assign goods to
customer groups. You can link channels to sold-to business partners and to items. Channels can be used in connection with available-to-promise (ATP). You can assign a certain ATP volume to a channel. This volume limits the ATP for that channel to a maximum. Period One of a series of time buckets into which all planning data in
a master plan is accumulated. Plan periods are defined in the context of a scenario. Plan periods are identified by a period number, and are defined in days, weeks, or months. Demand Forecast The item quantity that is forecast to be required in a plan
period. A demand forecast can be generated based on seasonal patterns or
historical demand data. The demand forecast is part of the demand plan for a plan item or channel. Extra Demand An extra item quantity that is expected to be sold in a plan
period, on top of the regular demand forecast. The extra demand is part of the demand plan for a plan item or channel. Example An extra demand can be defined for an unusual large customer order or an extra market demand because of sales promotions. Nonconsumed Forecast The part of the forecast demand that has not yet been consumed
by actual demand. As a rule, the demand forecast, extra demand, and special demand are gradually filled by actual orders. This process is referred to as consumption of forecast demand by actual demand. Customer Orders The sales orders that have not yet been delivered to the
customers involved. The customer orders are part of the actual demand and are used to consume the demand forecast. Customer Deliveries The sales order quantities and the sales schedule quantities
that have already been delivered to the customers involved. The customer deliveries are part of the actual demand. These deliveries are used to consume the demand forecast, and to generate a new demand forecast. Note This field also contains the distribution deliveries from other sites. Allowed Demand The maximum volume that you want to sell to customers in a
particular channel. When this maximum is reached in a certain channel ATP period, you accept no more customer orders for that
channel. Cumulative ATP The total value of the plan item that you can still use in this plan period to fill future customer orders. Date A description of the plan period. This description can be:
Customer Receipts Back orders received from customers for this plan item. Time Fence The plan item's time fence that you defined
in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. Forecast Time Fence The plan item's forecast time fence that you
defined in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. Order Horizon The plan item's order horizon that you
defined in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. Planning Horizon The plan item's planning horizon that you
defined in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session. Reference Date The reference date of the
specified scenario. ATP Period Length The ATP period length that you defined for the specified plan
item/channel in the Plan Item - Channels (cpdsp5100m000) session.
