Model validation using the Internet

You can retrieve a model license code from the Infor Internet site: http://www.inforxtreme.com

The Enterprise Business Model Validation Tool enables you to generate a license code. The license code, retrieved from the Internet, is valid for two weeks. The official license code will be sent to you by e-mail before your 14-day Internet license code expires. Before you receive your license code, specify the Model Version Code and the Company data on the validation Web page.

Model Version Code

Select the version code that must be used for validation from the pull-down menu. The right version code for your model validation is specified in the introduction letter provided with the model, which you can find on the media.

Company data
  1. Specify the company data for which the models are intended:
    • Company name.
    • City where the company is located.
    • Country in which the company is established.

    • E mail address of the company or the company's contact person.

      This address is the e mail address to which the official license code will be sent.

    • Name of the contact person at the company.

    • Customer code of the company (user) as provided by Infor after you have validated your Infor LN application. Note that if the customer code is not entered correctly, the model cannot be validated.

  2. Specify the data for the company where you purchased the model. You can select one of these options:
    • Infor LN company (specify office name)
    • Partner (specify name of the contact person)
  3. Click Submit. Your personal license code will be generated within a few seconds. The license end date (14 days from the generation date of the code) also appears on the screen.

  4. Specify the license expiry date, as well as the license code in the Validate Licensed Dump (tgbrg1246m000) session of the Enterprise Modeler. The import process starts.

    You must enter the license code exactly (capitals, numbers) as shown in the Model Validator on the Internet. You can use a copy-and-paste function in Windows to enter the license code.

  5. If the “Version <…> does not exist, create version?” question appears, click Yes.
  6. If the “Import Components for Version <…> and Previous Versions?” question appears, click Yes. If the “Import of Components Completed” message appears, the DEM Content Pack is loaded in your Infor LN environment.
  7. If the “Change Version to Current Version?” question appears, click Yes. This action sets the imported version to the current (model) version with which you are going to work. You can now start to work with the DEM Content Pack.

Note that the entire import process can take a few hours. It depends on the speed and system load of the server on which the import takes place. The DEM Content Pack is always imported into the current company/data set you are working in.
