Static conditions

A static condition is an expression, which contains a combination of business functions/business processes on the basis of which the value of static conditions is set.

Based on implementation choices, you can set the static condition values and determine in which direction a business process is continued.

A static condition is linked to an arrow leaving a control activity in a business process. Therefore, after the values have been set, certain paths in the business processes are dimmed and cannot be used.

In a project model you must set the static condition values to correspond with the implementation decisions. The values can be set manually, but it is recommended you carry out the static condition-setting rules defined in the repository.

Static Condition Values by Project Model (tgbrg5595m000)

To import the static conditions you want to use in the project model from the repository, and set their values manually, use the Static Condition Values by Project Model (tgbrg5595m000) session.

To start this session:

  • On the Zusatzoptionen menu of the Project Models (tgbrg4500m000) session, click Static Condition Values by Model ...

To set the value of these static conditions to Yes or No, use one or more of the following options:

To import a static condition from the repository, and set its value manually, complete the following steps:

  • To start the Static Condition Values by Project Model (tgbrg5595m000) session, click Insert.
  • In the project model in the Static Condition field, select the static condition you want to use.
  • In the project model, select the value of the static condition.
  • Click Save
Set Static Condition Values to Default (tgbrg5295m000)

To import a range of static conditions and their default values from the Static Conditions (tgbrg5580m000) session in the repository into the project model, use the Set Static Condition Values to Default (tgbrg5295m000) session.

To start this session:

  • On the Zusatzoptionen menu of the Static Condition Values by Project Model (tgbrg5595m000) session, click Set Static Condition Values to Default (tgbrg5295m000)

To import static conditions from the repository:

  • In the Static Condition field, select the range of static conditions you want to import.
  • Click Set Default
Hinweis

If you do not specify an optimization phase in the Optimization Phase field, the imported static conditions apply to all optimization phases in the project model.

If you select the Overwrite checkbox, the static conditions already present in the project model receive the value of the static conditions imported from the repository.

Set Static Conditions with Rules (Reference Model) (tgbrg7200m000)

To apply the static condition-setting rules you defined in the Rules (tgbrg7500m000) session in the repository, use the Rules (tgbrg7500m000) session. To start this session, on the Zusatzoptionen menu of the Static Condition Values by Project Model (tgbrg5595m000) session, click Set Static Condition Values with Rules.

If you carry out this session, the static condition setting rules are evaluated for the project model and version you are currently working in.

Hinweis

If you select the Test Run check box, a hypothetical report with the outcome of running the current session is printed. The condition values are not implemented.

To view the results of the static-condition setting rules, use the Process Viewer. To start the Process Viewer, on the Zusatzoptionen menu of the Business Processes by Project Model (tgbrg4560m000) session, click Display Business Process in User Mode.
