Seasonal pattern

A seasonal pattern describes the relative ratios for norm values for all periods within a year.

Seasonal patterns can be used to implement norm, minimum values and maximum values which vary during the different periods within a year. Minimum and maximum values are related to the norm value by means of the percentage minimum below norm and percentage maximum below norm.

For a seasonal pattern the ratios for the norm value for all periods are defined. In the Performance Indicators (tgeis0511m000) session, the start value for seasonal pattern for the norm value for a performance indicator is defined. Also the percentage minimum below norm and percentage maximum below norm have to be filled there.

When calculating norm values within the Calculate Norm, Minimum and Maximum PI Values by Period (tgeis0212m000) session the starting value is multiplied by the factor for the period. The result is stored as the norm value. The minimum value is calculated by subtracting percentage minimum values below norm from the calculated norm value. The result is stored in minimum value. The maximum value is calculated by adding percentage maximum below norm to the calculated norm value. The result is stored in maximum value.
