Set NumberA number used to group one or more order lines. Order lines with the same set number are released simultaneously to, for example, warehousing or invoicing. Set numbers are generated based on the following criteria:
If these attributes are changed, a new set number is generated. You can only change the generated set number if this set number is not previously assigned to a quotation line. If you create a new quotation line to which you want to assign an existing set number, the new quotation line must contain the same attributes as the quotation line to which the existing set number is linked. Note When you process a quotation to a maintenance sales order, a part maintenance line is created for each unique set number. A work order is created for each unique part maintenance line. Example
When quotation A is processed, a maintenance sales order is created with 2 part maintenance lines. The first part maintenance line is created for quotation line 10 and 20 with the same set number. The second part maintenance line is created for quotation line 30 with a different set number. All quotation lines with the same set number are copied to the work order as different work order activities. For both part maintenance lines a unique work order is created. The work order that is created for the first part maintenance line contains two activities: one corresponds to quotation line 10 and one to 20. The second work order contains only one activity, which corresponds to quotation line 30. Note A quotation cost line's set number is defaulted from the linked quotation line.
