Project Performance

The Project Performance report allows you to review the performance indices using the earned value and variance data for the current and cumulative period.

The Project Performance report displays the following data:

  • Planned value: The amount of work planned in the specified period
  • Earned value: The amount of work completed in the specified period
  • Actuals: The cost incurred in the specified period.
  • Cost variance: The difference between the cost incurred for the task completed and the actual cost. Cost variance = Earned value – Actual costs
  • Schedule variance: The time period by which a project is ahead or behind the schedule. Schedule variance = Earned value – Planned value
  • Estimate At Complete Variances : The project budget at completion against the forecasted cost at completion. Estimate At Complete Variance = Budget At Completion – Estimate At Complete
  • Cost Performance Index: The index is calculated by dividing earned value by actual cost.
  • Schedule Performance Index: The index is calculated by dividing earned value by planned value.
