How to use activity statuses

An activity can have the following budget statuses:

  • Free: An activity with this status is not included in control data. You can still change the activity.
  • Actual: An activity with this status can be included in the control data. You can maintain the history with this status.
  • Final: You cannot change the activity nor its corresponding budget (activity or time-phased).
Note

If you select a new status, you must also change the status of the budget lines. LN will prompt you with the Update Budget Status in Actual Budget (tpptc1201s000) session.

An activity can have the following Work authorization statuses:

  • Free: Work is not authorized for execution.
  • Released: Work is sanctioned for execution. This status is permitted only for activities under a leading plan and for elements that are part of the leading structure. The parent activity/element and the activity type cannot be changed.
  • On Hold: Work is under execution and needs to be suspended due to some constraints. The parent activity/element and the activity type cannot be changed.
  • Finished: Work is executed. The parent activity/element and the activity type cannot be changed.
  • Closed: Work is completed and all related financial transactions are closed. The parent activity/element and the activity type cannot be changed.
