How to use cost recording

During project execution, you want to record actual costs optionally, against the project budget lines. Cost recording can be done in Project, or in the Financials and then transferred to Project.

Specify the level at which you want to record project costs with the Project - Cost Control Levels (tppdm6102m000) session in the Project Definition module. The options are:

If you define an element with the Elements (tpptc1100m000) session or an activity with the Activities (tppss2100m000) session, use the Cost Control check box to indicate whether you want to record project costs for the element or activity or not. If this check box is cleared, Project accumulates the element costs to the parent element.
