| Some important manual checksWhile you enter the amount values, such as the values of
surcharges, you must ensure that the value entered in the corresponding
percentage field is as per the calculation in LN Project.
Related amounts will be calculated again in LN Project,
but differences owing to a different approach could be misleading and
confusing. The following rules are applied: - Fields that are editable in Excel must be updated in LN Project
without further recalculations. Therefore, what you see in Excel is what you
get in LN Project.
Fields that are Read Only in Excel are recalculated in LN Project
during the Save action from Microsoft Excel. This applies to the following
fields: - Cost Amount
- Landed Cost Amount
- Gross Sales Amount
- Net Sales Price
- Net Sales Amount
Therefore, to have the latest values, a Read From Baan action is required to retrieve the recalculated values. To
perform this action, you can use the corresponding icon from the Baan Workbook
toolbar. An exception to these rules is when the fields that can be
expressed either as a percentage or in an amount are both editable in Microsoft
Excel. However, if the percentage is filled, the amount will be recalculated in LN Project.
This applies to: - Surcharge percentage / Surcharge Amount
- Markup percentage / Markup Amount
- Discount percentage / Discount Amount
If you change the Cost/Sales Currency or Date of Incurred Costs / Date of Expected Sales in Microsoft
Excel, the latest Rates, Rate Factors, and Express in Base flags are retrieved. If you change cost price and sales price through some formula,
you must manually check that the fields origin of cost price and origin of
sales price are set to Excel. You must enter the date of incurring cost and the date of
expected sales when a new record is saved back to LN Project. | |
